Reminded again that the bleed from Cloud of Darkness really, really hurts.

At one point I ended up tanking (dying due to) the boss as SAM. Tanks were up, so either they decided they didn't need their aura or I got Shirked, who knows. This was after asking people after the previous wipe not to run beams into everyone stuck to the boss (the melee and the tank... that plus comets = wipe). Well, it certainly wasn't a boring run. >_>

Baelsar's Wall for Multiples of 10 roulette. Gate goes down and our tank /pdead's. NIN proceeds to follow suit. Healer and I join them on the floor at the entrance.

We didn't say much to each other but that was a wholesome moment of late night roulette running solidarity!

Better was telling the tank I'd LB the big pull near the end of the dungeon if they wanted to do it, and the mobs proceeded to get absolutely Deleted. Quick and painless run, thankfully. Multiples of 10 roulette is always a toss-up in that regard.

77 dungeon.. We wipe to first pull. SCH again, different one from my last story about one.

Before I took off, I made sure that Eos was out, even let him apply the usual 'at the beginning' SCH stuff. I wasn't going to repeat the mistake from last time lol.

SCH did his job, etc, but something was up.

Back at the start, he realizes he is too undergeared. I looked at his hp and was like whoa. lv70 i390. I don't know how he got so far and not upgraded, but in anycase he admitted that he hasn't played for so long that he forgot to work on his gear. This guy got driven out by Stormblood loool.

Ok he wants to leave and repair. I suggest we just do single pulls as I knew there wasn't a default big pull.

(I'm not voicing my worry about the last boss and intestinal crank which I knew was the real test)

One of the dps agrees as we did almost get through that monster pull, she goes on to encourage him to stay.

Frankly the 3 of us didn't want to wait for a healer and he was weaker but he tried and I liked his attitude and accepting responsibility.

First boss gave him some trouble..but..but HE WAS USING SACRED SOIL! YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LOONG IT'S BEEN SINCE I LAST SAW IT!♡♡♡♡ ::jumps immediately in it::

Basically this guy was coming into his own as a sch, and the dungeon gave him gear too, lol we all passed on all healer gear so fast lmao.

Oh boy... I gave him a heads up about intestinal crank and we proceeded onward.

All I can do is reprisal and Heart of Mind(edits in correct name later.)

He handled it pretty well, included that period where the boss spams it.

We down the boss, and he apologies for the trouble.

A few days ago, daylie alliance raid, I got into WoD.
Gates are closed because of a few new player.
After everyone has seen the sequence, the gate was still closed.
1 player just didn't want to connect or disconnect so everyone else has to wait.
He can not get kicked and the dungeon timer has not started.
We had to wait about 5 minutes until the not connecting player gets his DC and afterwards the gets opens and we can start.

Obviously experienced BLM1 says in chat "Is that an Ice Mage of Legend of I've heard stories about". This was a mentor too, and not just the crown, but the crown with the sword.

Turns out the other BLM was new to the game/job and was only using Blizzard III. Let's call her BLM2. BLM1 explains to her how to rotate between the 2 elements and that transpose stops being a thing. BLM2 took the advice and it all was well.

Huh. Let me guess, german client BLM with a german name? If so, sorry to burst your bubble, but the advice won't help. Had that famed Ice III mage in Halatali Hard on Thursday, he got explanations as well and didn't react even when addressed in german... and if he was already back at his Ice III rage...

Well, got out of a run in 50/60/70 roulette on brd where we had a boosted DRK on GNB running Sor Khai for the first time. Rest of party was WHM and MCH. MCH was a full mentor.

Our tank was...still obviously very new to tanking. Naturally they didn't understand anything about cooldowns or pulling, so the first two sets of trash mobs were wonky. Suddenly we get up to the tree mob set and the MCH spontaneously leaves after doing very little damage.

We get a DNC replacement and finished the dungeon, but...that MCH left me scratching my head.

was the gnb a viera by chance? sounds like a gnb my fc mate ran into. (one from posted story asking for opinions) was wonky on everything and acted like a know it all iirc from what fc mate said.
