Did that Laksmi trial in trial roulette. What the hell was this? The other tank was a bit scared to main tank the boss, so I took a crack at doing it for the first time. Oh wow, just good Frosted Flakes, Tony the tiger, they're greeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!!

First of course the "+" AOE was constantely being placed in a way where me and the PLD had no safe spot.. and I kept having to move the boss to try to make spot for us both, and this was bad for the DPS, but I didn't have a choice. Folks were falling off to her "Push you into hell" attack. It's just me and the PLD now, and we were told to just die and start over lol.

Second go, the PLD wants to main tank so I let her have it, we're still having problems with lack of safe spots and she's having to move the boss as much as I did. I accidentally killed 4 people with this conal "gonna put you all in a washing machine" attack. I've seen this marker before in Shisui Violent tides ~ first boss, so I knew to get away from other players, but I didn't expect that kind of attack, nor did I expect it the cone to be as wide as it was.

Anyway we cleared, but that first attempt was a mess.

Just finished one of the BEST frontline roulettes I've ever been in.

We literally steamrolled the other two GCs. Almost 3 minutes in: Mael 100 points, Adders 48, Flames 596. Almost 4 minutes later: Mael 294, Adders 200, Flames 1035. Final score(11:46 left on the clock): Mael 224, Adders 376, Flames 1600

Yesterday I got absolutely steamrolled in frontline. I was on adders, and before I knew it the score was:

650 flames
1080 maelstrom
80 adders

You can guess how well the rest went.

Do you not cast damage spells? My target as a healer is almost always on the enemy only switching to the tank to quickly toss out the occasional heal as needed. Even my focus target is on the boss to be able to keep an eye on what it's doing when I do have a player targeted. The only exception to this is AoE trash packs when on SCH or WHM specifically since their dps spells aren't targeted.

Firstly, I have a macro that let's the healer know that I'm going to use it soon. My modus operandi is the same, I grab the first pack, and I then use my macro, letting them know I'm gonna use it as a soon as I establish aggro from the next pack.

I got mentored by a WHM. I'm using Superbolide too soon XD.

Why, yes I am! For this particular healer that is, because she knows to hold benediction while typical tank waits til their HP is low enough to get full use of their ults.

Every healer is different though, and there's been some that blows their big heals for no reason. Had an AST use Essential Dignity on me for 768 hp x_x and I was gonna use Superbolide for the next pull, and as you can expect, she temporarily turned into a curebot when I used it. Maybe I shouldn't have used it. In any case the mentor healer gave me something to think about.

She then said using Arm's Length and Reprisal would make me "best dungeon tank", but I used both(Doma Castle) then she says "sorry I missed it".

Moral of the story: Good mentor lol

lol It just took me ten minutes and reading your post six times for my brain to put togather, why the AST hitting ED prior to you using Superbolide was a oops. Reading the forum before bed time is not a good thing.

I sorta understand why it happened, because I react the same way with Superbolide itself. When we tanks stop finally, that's where a hurricane of unholy matrimony of damage happens, usually. This AST might have expected me to greet the grim reaper at that moment but yeah nothing of the sort, and I get impatient waiting for my HP to drop like an Anvil.

Was helping my friend to cap her DNC yesterday. Didn't played WHM for a while (I main SCH), so I choosed this.
Had to realize... my brain was still running the SCH.exe while I played the WHM-Hardware... and I can tell you, that doesn't go that well.
We had the same Tank all the time and they were very kind, so thank you for not being mad at me doing these embarrassing mistakes! Like it wasn't that every pull was a catastrophe, but I did more mistakes in these few runs than I like to do, expecially as someone who mainly plays healers.
For the last run I switched to SCH and wow did I notice how much I missed Excogitation!

Haven't been to this thread in a dog's age.

Roulette into Snowcloak. Notice a suspicious lack of Holy with a White Mage in the party. Make a recommendation to use it for multiple enemies. Get met with "wut? XD" - Dancer backs me up. "I didnt use any dmg ability yet on mobs? cause im busy spamming heal?" (false, Stones were flying quite frequently). "u wanna die?" Explain the stun effect. WHM proceeds to not cast anything on the next pull until I'm down to like 10-15% (even with Shadow Wall), when a Holy cast starts. "oh damn u died what a surprise". I point out the lack of anything until I was low. "dude ur down all the time" (again false, that was the first time I dropped anywhere significantly low). DNC again backs me up. "I have my eyes on your hp bar, have yours on the aggro bar and the dps on the enemy hp bar and we are done with the dungeon. start smartazz shit talk once u play savage stuff but not in a random dungeon" (thanks just got done with E8S last night...). And again I was only recommending its use, not demanding or anything... At this point I just suck it up and keep going. And what do you know later on Holy casts start happening with no issue on my survival. And the WHM dies to Lunar cry, what a surprise.

Another one from earlier this week:
I venture into leveling roulette once and am immediately reminded why I don't go there that often.
DRK. Get tossed into Mt. Gulg. WHM/DNC/DNC.
WHM using basic Cure for most of the healing, but fine otherwise. Great Holy game.
Both DNCs absolutely convinced you can't have DNC partnering each other. So it was me and the WHM getting buffed.
May have been a good choice actually, both DNC were also letting Standard Step fall off repeatedly, and I saw Fountainfall procs (just that one, not the Flourish series) in AoE situations.
Damage was so bad I saw mechanics from the demon wall trash enemies I've never see. Yes, those buggers have an interruptable raid wide that I've never seen before, and I saw it twice now!
DNC couldn't even be bothered to do mechanics, I had to disengage mid-Delirium to eat second boss' meteors. TnT

On a more positive note, I've recently had an influx of sprouts in 567 roulette who are happy to hear advice on bosses or their jobs! ^v^

just DF levelling and tank was really in a rush, standard grab mob and sprint, but because healer is still sprout, we got "semi" wiped 2 times (semi because only healer and tank die)

so i ask him to slow down a bit and pull 1 mob at the time (we already on last part of the dungeon anyway), and this is his reply...



iam not mad or anything but, you could just say no or sorry iam in a hurry or something. why bring TOS of all things.

Might have been better to just remind the tank that the healer might be new, in those words, but honestly if the healer doesn't speak up and continues on then just try your best to dps.
