When doing weekly reclears with the static there are some things you don't want to hear your healer say over Discord in the middle of a pull. When you're ten seconds from the transition after the adds in E7S "no shields, forgot to switch back to Noct" is a cursed sentence.

See, last week we experimented with Diurnal + WHM for E5S and E6S, and it worked well. We redid it this week. Well, our AST didn't remember that we were going to look at the numbers and see if it's safe to drop the shields before letting him go Diurnal in E7S. We were lucky and it worked out fine, but he really needs to smarten up. What an ASThole.

(I might have been me. Sorry guys. At least we didn't wipe?)

Weekly re-clears via PF. In Tonberry, Elemental DC, the number of J parties are way more than the E parties and only the J parties have the slot I need. I joined a J party for e5s->e7s, did the usual greetings.... and got silently kicked -_- My guess is either I am a E or he was in the same party as me last week where my performance was beyond abysmal.... At least tell me the reason you do not want me in the party darn it.

Anyway, joined another J party, despite some wipes, cleared the 3 floors properly in 1 hour.

Yesterday I just wasted 4 hours with e5s reclear tries.
The very first group I joined was with a co-tank who was on my blacklist because he went as first-timer into my e6s kill group in week 1.

The other groups didn't play the spears right and in these 4 hours I've just seen the 2 nd chain lightning once.

Damn, I try for 3 weeks to practice e8s but can't reach the Add phase, because the other player are to incompetent to stay inside of a mark and not move while chained.

Sorry, a little bit frustrated because of the luck with my groups.

Copied factory to get the last token I need to fully upgrade my tank in deepshadow, horribly cursed. I was on red mage. I pulled in to do my melee rotation on the first boss and the tank had it under 2 of the dropper things for some reason, so I got nuked (my fault for not noticing tank bad positioning). I had to heal myself constantly throughout the whole raid so I wouldn't die, and on Engels two people with the aoe tried to nuke the alliance. I barely survived through that, wasn't healed, so I got killed by the raidwide. Ridiculous.

My 1st copied factory run I went as a BLM, I had practiced the rotation for about a week, I watched the Copied Factory fights & read about them, thinking I'd be as ready as I ever was! WRONG-- I was swiped by many AoE's, I started panicking/ overthinking, my FC mates who had ran the raid multiple times by then were really unhelpful, just would go "oof!" or "rip" when I died- we were all in discord chat too. At the end, one of my FC mates goes "holy crap! we had some parsers/ my DPS was okay", & they all started going on about their DPS-I had no idea what parsing was at the time/ I didn't ask about my personal best because I was dead in just about every encounter, except for the 1 mob encounter.
One of them whispered to me & told me I parsed "grey" which I was like idc, was my 1st run & they just held it above my head. Fast forward to EDEN SVG, I had run it & completed it multiple times on my AST- finally one run, we are ready to start then a SAM turns to me and goes "Are you wearing a grey outfit to reflect your parse numbers? lol" It made me so angry, I screened & reported them for it- I've never went for a "personal best" My FC consisted of 6 people that got online regularly, 2 of which could run the SVG/lvl 80 content. So, doing my best for others never occured to me. It certainly traumatized me to a degree where I can't enjoy the endgame content for raids/ dungeons like I want for fear of getting harassed again. I've since left the FC for a more active one, plus there was alot of toxic bragging in the old FC once old members began returning.

    Fast Forward months later---
I was doing the new Bismark lvl 80 dungeon- I was a Scholar and one of the DPS was a black mage; upon each mob/ boss encounter I noticed the lack of AoE's/ dots being applied by him-- So, I watched the blm for a few moments in the beginning of each fight--- his rotation was Freeze/Enochian/Blizz 4/fire2/fire4/flare--
He never used his Foul or Xenoglossy- never used thunder for dots-

I wanted to suggest to him to hardcast blizzard 3/enochian/thunder/blizz4/sharpcast/swap--etc but I've already been pulled aside by a GM & officially warned for doing something similar & the couple I was trying to be helpful to saw it as me being rude since they "didn't ask" so, that conversation turned ugly really fast :c
Each fight felt like trying to sprint through mud. The tank & other dps I could tell noticed it as well & probably were wondering why noone had ever said anything/ suggested anything before to this blm clearly still in learning at a lvl 80 expert run- I was constantly using rescue everytime it was ready on that blm- I kept thinking back to when I 1st started out as a BLM, so I played his angel to assist him where when I was in a similar spot, I was laughed at. He had no awareness & no clear idea on how to play a blm effectively.

I left with 3 commendations- great & all but I still think about that poor blm

Just got out of an Eden Iconoclasm. By the way, horrible run, wiped once, and almost full wiped again. It was just me and one of the tanks left alive, I used heal lb3 and we slowly cleared it. Anyway, the juicy bit was at the end when rolling on loot, a tank decided they were going to dictate to everyone what to roll on, how to roll, etc. It was actually really obnoxious, they were spamming it. Somebody, I don't know who, wasn't rolling at all on specifically the things the tank was leading with to "roll first". They did roll on some things, but not others. I'm talking they literally left what this person wanted for the last minute before rolling. Now I don't know intent, if this was actually what they were doing out of spite, but if it was.. Oh my God it was hilarious whoever you are. Sure, I had to wait as well, because I also wanted the pants, but my God, it was almost worth the wait! If nothing else I had a good laugh.

Just got out of an Akadaemia where the tank goes and does a pull everything on the 1st pull and ends up dead. One of the blms was all don't use adlo as it's an mp eater. Meanwhile I'm just waiting for other things to be off cool down because i've used excog, dissipation, 4 lustrates and started that with a soil and fey illumination. I was all like hi they went through all my other shit too fast. To the point my farie was still outta commission by the time that pull ended. Got no coms. I know i'm not the best on sch or as knowledgable but when the only thing i hadn't used which also requires an adlo or an mp sucking succor was recitation and the dude still died I'm pretty sure it's not me. Like the only thing I could have done was do aoe heals and used what little build up aetherpact would have had but the damn drk was requiring all the single target hp boosts n shields i could lob at em.

See the think is SE's so lazy they don't have a way of actually seeing what's going on evidently. so they just read chatlogs. what this has led to is a massively toxic snowflake community that's toxic about being kicked, but they treat advice as sarcastic vitrol.

the response i give people if they ask me how to handle it is always the same and it even has a flow chart i didn't bother making: Ask. if answer is no hen just assume that you'll be kicking them later if it gets bad. do not engage past primary question as incorrectly responding can get you in trouble. Ask. if the answer is yes or some variation of they don't mind, explain. if they aren't getting it that's acceptable. they saw they got the response out there and they'll be less likely to sit silently next time. Ask, if there is no answer it depends. are you asking if they want help on bosses? if answer is no watch them. if they don't quite get it then point it out simply in chat. if they get it awesome. don't engage anything but the explanation. if you get a vitrol response brush it off. are you asking them if they understand their rotation, only respond if the answer is positive that they want help. point out a peice of easy to remember chain of skills. they'll possibly figure it out. no vitrol. not sarcastic undertone in wording. just straight answer text.

Observe before asking. are they joking around. is the party at ease? ease the statement in there. it works 90% of the time. keep the chat light...wipes frustrate EVERYBODY. add a joke, goof off and get away with it. keep the run some variation of interesting chat wise and people might just mention they don't realize something. little notes and things I've learned over years of gaming to help people out. If people want help they only way they might get it is by asking. anything else or method is considered unsolicitated advice along the lines of 'you don't pay my sub'

Yeah. You gotta word your way around the statement you truly want to make. Funny that SE gives "warnings" for something like this. Crazy that you would even have to get so specific with ways around what you actually want to say, it being something you would think is so minuscule.

I've done just as you say many times "add a joke". When I am in a bad mood, or annoyed, I have at times put some heavy stuff in the chat, only to read it a second later, and go "no, I need to fix this". So I feign a joke. I've still to this day never once had a GM interaction.

Just do what I do when confronted with an ice mage and start making bad puns. See Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze for a crash course.
