Helping wife's alt through Satasha. Got a Gladiator that was obviously very new. No biggie, I can work with newbies. Except, he didn't switch on tank stance.

Asked him nicely all the way to the first boss to turn on tank stance. Decided in the end to kick him for not even having the courtesy to say "Screw you, I do what I want". My reasoning was he needs to learn to work with his team now when it's not as much of a big deal before it becomes a huge deal later. He needed to learn to turn it on, I was even good enough to tell him to look for the yellow button called Shield Oath. But he didn't even say a word

Got a Paladin who was kind enough to finish the run with us. Was happy to have aggro control finally. Was happy to highlight the Paladin's tank stance and see that Iron Will was on.

Wait a second... Oh crap - I used the old ability name like a complete noob

I wished I could find that guy and apologize profusely. I've never felt so bad about kicking somebody in my life.

sorry to the people trying to clear expert before the reset... I really did stand next to something flammable in Grand Cosmos (or at least that showed on my screen)

but we still made it, so yay!

Look, I understand if you are a sprout, but when you are literally standing still, getting hit by mechanics, doing no damage, but also not healing I start to lose my patience. Sure, if you had to go afk I get it, but when this is the entire dungeon experience, it's a bit annoying, because I know you aren't afk.

Recent expert roulette got me into Anamnesis with an amazing pair of tank and healer from the same FC. The tank did wall-to-wall pull (starting after the 1st boss). That was the first time I met a tank who pull the mobs with channeling crystals into the next set of mobs with crystals, which ended up with all the crystals popping the extra mobs and we get a whole party of nasties trying to eat the tank alive. The healer didn't even sweat with healing and everyone just AOE their hearts out.
It was a very quick, smooth and amazing run. I wish I could commend both the tank and healer.

..I don't know how I made it in time, but I did the most crazy maneuver with En Avant during the first boss of Amaurot. I'm on the other side of the room when Final Sky starts and the rock I chose was in a bad spot. The other three found one that was suitable. I pop sprint and make my daring escape to their side. Final Sky is nearing completion, and the best way I can explain this is by using trig/geometry terms. I knew En Avant was my best chance of making it, and I needed to dodge the AOE in my path in such a way that I need to form a right triangle around it, in order to setup for En Avant. Imagine my path is along the adjacent side of this triangle, when I get to the right angle, I used En Avant along the opposite side and made it to their rock in probably 0.2 seconds away from being blasted by Final Sky.

My heart was pounding.

Ran 50/60 roulette and got thrown into the Antitower with my friend on AST, I ran on WAR, we had a SAM and BLM as our dps.

This blm...he kept spamming Blizzard 4, Fire 4, a few Fire 1 procs into Fire 3. After the first boss I asked him if he would use other spells besides spamming Bliz 4, and gave him a bit of advice on which ones to actually use.

His response?

'....I have been?'

If you've been on autopilot this entire time as blm while I've been masspulling, I...I have no words.

watched a streamer playing as WHM in the lastest dungeon... the one with the fish people and the Minotaur boss with hammer tiles

she didn't have to keep burning most or all CDs for trash pulls... was able to take her time on bosses...

was a premade group

holy wow... i mean i still have a lot to practice or learn, but... wow... that seemed like it would be a fun run to heal

counts as a vicarious Tale from the Duty Finder since technically one the DPS was a pug

Really having fun finishing leveling WAR, PLD, and DRK with the squad. Nice to learn and practice with less pressure.

Tip: Have the healer on Defensive Tactics. If you aren't getting healed, just turn off tank stance and order them to attack mobs without you. Wait until an NPC gets healed. Then turn on tank stance and jump back in. It's worked three times now.

Just hit 70 on DNC, so I grabbed a few pieces of tombstone gear and popped in Castrum Abania because I'm eager to get out of the level 70-71 slump. Nothing wrong with the run, save for me derping once on Number XXIV because I forgot his mechanic due to not running it in so long. >_>

... It isn't until people give their "ty"s and I leave that I realise... In my haste to escape the 70-71 range... I forgot to do the level 70 DNC quest, so I didn't have Technical Step. Probably looked like a right goof in that run. Whoops.

Well this is my first story in awhile a short one too because I left early, I que into Akadamia Anayder as a BLM with a SAM/WHM/PLD we all say our heys and the tank mass pulls, I already notice something off as he grabs the adds together. They're dying VERY slow even with me nuking the ever living crap out of them I notice the SAM is just single targeting and running away out of AoEs back up the ramp and then running back in, WHM isn't healing or doing anything so the PLD is just spamming Clemency. He used all his CDs, he dies, I die and then wipe ooookay round 2? Tank pulls small which is annoying but eh whatever, the SAM is just doing broken combos and nothing else WHM is again just sitting with their thumb up their butt no DPS no heals just Tetra and Regen after a bit we finally get to the first boss and here's where I had enough.

We pull and the SAM is just doing their AoE combo literally tickling the boss and the WHM is doing nothing I start asking do you know how to play SAM? That's an AoE rotation, nothing crickets I then say to them when the shark runs away for the 2nd shark to come use a single target rotation please. They just go I'm dpsing the tank just goes "...." he then starts throwing in SAM single target moves like Gekko etc, SAM ignores it and just spams AoE.

After 5 mins we kill the boss because the healer and other DPS literally did nothing, tank goes "y'know we tried to give you pointers but I'm out sorry good luck" I try to talk to the SAM and they just say "this is how I've played since the launch of SHB I've had no issues so please stop" I just say yeah I'm sorry but I'm not staying in here for 45 mins good luck and left. That was the first quit I've had this xpac and I honestly can't believe that people think this is okay.
