It... was so that the tank could find you. You know... the healer. So that he could... find the healer... for healing.Since we are talking about harassment, griefing, etc, I will put in my two cents worth. I did an Alliance Raid and got harassed by one of the tanks for who knows what. The jerk put the square sign over my character to humiliate me and never said why. This type of harassment from tanks happens far too much in this game. I believe the majority of tanks are OK, but there are those who are selfish, immature little boys (adults) who try to prove their manhood by being griefers. Tanks like that (one of the commenters appears to be that way, it's his way or the highway, must have a huge ego problem) make doing a daily roulette painful and not worth the rewards. I reported the guy, but to the best of my knowledge SE didn't do anything to the player.
For PvP (specially frontlines) its very common to throw markers on all healers - depending on how many healers there are or in case where people would try to "color-code" the healers of the different groups, I've even seen healers marked with the ignore-marks :O
I use it immediately as there is generally a solid chance to build up at least another LB1 (some exclusions apply). Then again i usually heal so there's never much chance to use it outside of brand new content. The world of limit-breaking seems to be a whole complicated mash-up of unwritten rules and social etiquette with some MMO-style math sprinkled in.
I personally like to pop the LB at around 10% of a boss's health, but only when the LB isn't already used by that point. If you want to use it before I do, be my guest. And if, for some reason the LB is ill-used by a player of another role, I still don't care. The worst case scenario is that the specific boss attempt is botched, and the party gets mad at them instead of me.
However if the LB3 is sitting pretty and the boss is at 3% you can but i'm gonna snatch that up, because the healer LB3s are ever so pretty.
Uhhhh? Are you sure he wasn't just marking your position because (i assume based on your profile) you were a healer? Like... even if it was a jab at you, a square is just...a square? You could remove it yourself. I bet you my entire bank account that nobody was looking at you thinking "haha you have a square above your head, what a loser"Since we are talking about harassment, griefing, etc, I will put in my two cents worth. The other day I met a player (samurai) in ranked The Feast match who didn't do any damage and just constantly gave the other team free victories. After reporting him, I saw him again doing the same thing on the second day.
Also the other day, I heard a friend was temporarily banned because he said something negative in Onsal Hakair. Something like "this is hopeless"/"we can't win at all".
I don't understand the standard of punishment in this game anymore.
1. Yesterday's party gone wrong
Context: Adders and Flames were fighting over N node (A) for 8 minutes, while Maels took everything else, resulting in something like 0 0 600.
2. Today's party gone wrong
Context: The scores were something like 200 600 900.
Regardless of whether my team is winning, I still love Frontlines thanks to the strangest chats that appear all the time.

I don't want to live on this planet anymore if this is all it takes to offend someone. I wish I had more to say, but I don't.Since we are talking about harassment, griefing, etc, I will put in my two cents worth. I mean, people can be offended about pretty much everything. In country where I live we have reports from time to time how people beat others almost to death because they... don't like their hair color or cut or how they wear their pants. So seeing messages like this isn't really surprising. /shrug/
All this does is bring to focus that some people need to be evaluated mentally for having such massive reactions to these small inoffensive things.I mean, people can be offended about pretty much everything. Humanity was a mistake.
