Got E4N on roulette last night.
The Ninja and Monk ate mechanics very often. Especially the Ninja. No first time message but perhaps that was their 2nd or 3rd run and haven't familiarize with the fight yet.

Monk and Ninja down. I raised the Ninja, and my co-healer astro raised the Monk.
The OT derped and stood on the wrong side for massive landslide. I waited for swiftcast to be off CD.
The Ninja died again from bomb boulders. Sorry bud, you have to wait in line while I raise the OT first.
At this point, more bomb boulders and AoE, the Monk barely made it. The Astro kept an eye on him like a hawk as they successively top the Monk's hp for every mistake he made.
Finally, the Ninja got his raise.
The Astro died during VROOM VROOM phase.
The Monk followed after.
Oh no.
I hardcast raise my cohealer when titan stopped throwing AoE.
Astro up.
The astro swift raise the monk with little MP they have.
Earthen Fury incoming.
Astro's MP is alarmingly low.
Don't worry fam. I got this.

I logged back in to find everyone but 2 tanks and 1 dancer still up. Titan's somewhere at 10%. I swift raise the Astro. The MT died. Titan aggroed to me. Dancer ate AoE and died. I ate tank buster then died. Astro managed to raise the other tank before they also died.
2 tanks left with a small fraction of HP. If only one of them were PLD, we could have salvage the run. Wipe at 7%.

I was ready to have another go but party leader initiated a vote kick to the Ninja. It didn't go through. The leader dropped out, and everyone else followed.

Anyone in the party can initiate a vote kick, so unless the player with the leader icon next to their name said in chat that they initiated it you won't be able to tell who started it. I don't know where this myth that only party leaders can initiate vote kicks started, but I've seen it a lot lately.

Tanked holmister for the firs time. Mostly i400 gear...

~_~ no matter how much I used CDs, I was being murdered. I felt REALLY bad for the healer. I can only imagine how it'd be if I weren't using any. It kind of felt like going into Bardems Mettle for the first time where everything you use felt like they do absolutely nothing.

Did you happen to check the healers gear? ilvl400 is decent for holmister, though it can be rough for undergeared healers.

Did you happen to check the healers gear? ilvl400 is decent for holmister, though it can be rough for undergeared healers.

i400 tome gear is the best you can have for Holminster Switch, which is synced down to level 72 max. The level 71 gear you get in the dungeon itself is only i390, with the best store-bought gear you can have at 72 being only i395. Anything higher will be synced to i400. Whatever else was going on, the tank's gear definitely wasn't the issue there.

I main rdm, but leveling pld and whm has really increased my appreciation of both tanks and healers. I've been that squishy under geared tank carried by amazing healer, and experienced trying (failing) to keep undergeared tank alive in Mohr don. The first reminds me to pass on kindness, the second made me ask how did that healer do it, forcing a mindshift on healing higher content.

Wanted to share most important thing, healing a squishy tank shares much in common with healing through big pulls (lots of advice online for this) . That swift cast holy on the mob at the start, oh man does that help!

Um, the discussion was about the hlr having problem keeping them healed, so out of these we have...

1) the hlr is either new or returning to the role after a period of time, and is just adjusting
2) the tank or healer is not near ilv 400
3) the tnk is pulling too many mobs
4) the hlr is distracted (netflix, phone, life, equiping items, dots, et cetera)
5) the tank is eating aoes, and telegraphed attacks (rhino dragons)
6) the hlr isn't equiped with melded gear
et cetera.
