Uh... it's actually part of healer openers to cast LD early. And there's nothing wrong with casting LD at 90% if you know you're not going to overcap MP.

Funny I was casting more then the other healer and staying above 75% mana all without using LD. Only had to use LD once after a oops on a boss that killed me guess I am just better at managing mana

If you think that step is rough, wait until you get to the next one. I've had it in my quest log for so long I can't even remember when I started it. Admittedly, I haven't even tried to complete it in at least a year. At least I've managed to get 3 of the 6 needed fish. Maybe I'll try it again once I get FSH to 80.

That's actually where I am for it...pretty sure I got that quest in the late days of ARR or early days of HW....and my Fisher is almost 78(I hate the RNG aspect of it, so I barely ever use it)

Staying MP neutral through piety alone for basic Broil/Glare/Malefic spam with a 2.50 sec GCD would require 480 MP per tick. That requirement increases as soon as you use any spells that are more expensive.
Aetherflow averages out to 50 MP per tick. Assize is 33 MP per tick and Thin Air saves 50 MP per tick. Lily spells save an extra 53 MP per tick. Lightspeed is worth 40 MP per tick.

Base regen is 200 per tick, plus an extra 1 per tick for every 22 piety. A WHM would require a total of 3548 piety to remain MP neutral without using Lucid Dreaming. SCH and AST need even more.


Considering the ludicrous amount of piety required to remain MP neutral without Lucid Dreaming and his pride in failing to effectively manage CDs, I find it far more probable that he's suffering from a fundamental misunderstanding of ABC.

Leveling up DRK, enter Qarn with two DRGs and a SCH. Tell them I’m new to tanking Qarn and we go off. DRG 2 tries to pull extra mobs, but luckily I catch them. I keep aggrieved, manage my position for the DRGs, pop CDs as needed. First boss and DRG 2 dies. The SCH decides to keep casting Ruin instead of Rez. The wespes appear, there’s no DPS on them and I’m dead. The other DRG and the SCH finish the battle because luckily the boss was nearly dead. I had to lay there and wait for a hard cast rez from the SCH.

Things get better between bosses when we come to the doors with the statues. We open one door, thought we opened the other, but I didn’t notice that we/I apparently didn’t. I had already ran into the east room to get the flame thing for the scales. And I have no heal’s. I pop Rampart and the SCH decides to run outside and lead the statue to the other pad. And I die. The SCH decides to return, they defeat the mobs and then DECIDE TO KEEP GOING WITHOUT ME. No Rez or anything. I have to return and they pull mobs. DPS dying. Heals not doing their job. I sprint to catch up and reassert my role.

Like... if you’re not going to keep party members alive, then don’t heal. Nobody wants you to heal. Who hard casts Rez anymore when you get Swiftcast at LEVEL 24. I suspect the SCH was a SMN in disguise. I’m still salty about it.

I suspect this SCH is one of the numerous 'didn't read the skills page' people. the 'Forgot my role description' was implied by the rest of your post.

Never said I dont use LD and never said I constantly stay above 75% was doing mainly so for that run. But I dont touch LD until I am down too about 3k mana which only really happens with bad groups or fights that carry on to long. As for my ability as healer this video will answer that what you see in it is not much different from how I heal raids.
