Was contemplating on wether or not I'd run a late night MSQ roulette to kick off my MNK journey to 80 and went with yes. I ended up in Castrum. Hoped for Prae but at least this will be fast right? Nope, enter into respecting the content (ultimate).

Both of these tanks were doing single pulls pretty much all through out. The initial searchlights were business as usual but retrospectively I think someone else pulled the mobs. After searchlights one would expect we're probably grabbing everyone and running next to the boss room entrance or into it. Nope, everyone except me and 2 other people stopped to individually kill the mobs along the way while then grabbed the dudes next to the door. The run to explode the ceruleum pumps? Stop to fight everyone along the way, because of course you do. Ceruleum pumps you obviously kill everyone individually. I lost it after the second boss where instead of pulling the mobs to the cannons these folks decide to kill the first wave because... of course you would. Same deal with the colossus after the first cannons. I was amazed when the next group didn't die where they stand and was dragged to the next cannons but if they know that then why didn't they do that with the first group? Lucky me I was on melee so I could stun the invulnerability colossus myself because I was already contemplating on just up and leaving at that point.

Probably needless to say Livia's mech took ages to die. One super tank idled in the middle for the whole fight while a couple of brainlets kept hitting the boss from the start to the finish. I was the only one loading and using the cannon on one side and I think 2 people on the other side were. Oh, and then we have the 2 colossus in the arena during Livia's final fight, however they could contain themselves not to kill the stuff that would actually be better off dead I shall never know. It would be hard to make it really slow at these itemlevels she definitely lived longer than I've probably ever seen.
I commented at some point after the first boss that this is the first time I've ever seen single pulls here (I started during HW) but no one said a word throughout the dungeon other than that so I thought any further tries at communicating would probably be fruitless. On the bright side I at least had something to laugh about in my FC chat, it's been pretty quiet lately.

Had a new healer in Hell's Lid (roulette). Nothing major happened though they died on the first boss' chasing lava vomit. Things happen. I took it slow until they caught back up by around the time the cave opens with a patrolling snake. By the time I finished pulling though the healer was nowhere to be seen (remember this).

I was almost at 10k before they caught up and healed me, after they had already caught up. No wipes or deaths so we move on as usual. Second boss goes off without any complications. We all drop down and I wait for everyone present before pulling the final (painful) pack. By the time I finish pulling the healer is greyed out (they randomly stopped again!) and though I tried to time my superbolide it was in vain by "Omae wa mou shindeiru" the time they decided to catch up. I died. Samurai died by the time I got back up and regained control but it wasn't a full wipe.

Doesn't make me feel very confident I'll stay alive if a healer goes afk randomly without warning, else they were staring off into space for a good 8-10 seconds before deciding to follow the tank (me).

Oh hey, here's another one: zero def cd tank. During the whole Malikah run he didn't use a single def cd. Not one. Neither in large pulls nor boss fights. Not. A. Single. One.

This seems to be some kind of new trend. I'm getting those in expert over the last two weeks quite often and it is not funny.

I was in Frontline the other day and a member of my party thought it was a good idea to accompany marking a player with "attacking <player name>" and a sound effect. After a dozen times I heard the noise, I was praying for a fast end to the match. So distracting having to glance at the chat log and when the other team melted it went off every few seconds. I can see the <1> buddy.

Lately I've been getting a handful of rude and impatient people with max aetherpool in potd from Excalibur. I don't get it, the rest of your party is in need of the aetherpool coffers while you're just sitting there at the exit the moment you find it and not helping the rest of the party at all.

Last night ran into a 52 sam from excalibur who 'was running it for the speedrun and exp' while we were trying to get our friend some much-needed aetherpool levels. The sam was being an overall dick about it to the rest of us, didn't bother helping us at all and died a few times for it. We booted him and got a quiet replacement that was also trying to speedrun from the same server.

I should have probably told him it's faster exp with command missions/normal dungeon running, or queuing up with a premade group would make things far more faster, but I guess he was in too much of a hurry to do that.

In regards to Odin.I did this recently synced in df for friend and i was warrior synced down at max gear lvl,Odin still hits like a truck.We had to tank swap during the fight because regardless of cd rotation on warrior you still cant migitate every tankbuster and a lot of healers struggle with everything else thats going on that holmgang use is very high risk.

It's def a tricky fight that I think most people assume is gonna be a faceroll like the other trials that aren't EX's. But man is it rough as a whole.

The people running in without knowledge as mt blowing their kit is what gets me the most for it. You're basically taking the hits raw and giving your healers an even harder time. Especially with a job like WAR or DRK at that level where it's harder to work with your kit.

It bears mentioning that PotD bots are a thing, so if you encounter people who are totally unresponsive and just sit on the exit once it's been located, that's typical of them.

Oh he did trash-talk us in chat, saying that the potd weapons weren't worth anything. Our healer needed the aetherpool level to, you know, heal us. Hence why we booted the sam. The guy already had more than sufficient aetherpool level to solo 51-71 floors.

I get it when people are high aetherpool and just want to get to the end fast for quick exp, but if you're just standing in the ring while other people are off fighting you're only making it take longer to get everyone to the next floor and potentially risking a wipe and wasting your time entirely if everything goes south, or just wasting time with reses etc. Personally I think if you're going to insist on doing it the way you want to and screw what the rest of the party wants, you should forma premade of likeminded people, because you never know what you'll get in random groups.

Lost City of Amdapor (Hard). Mentor tank. It didn't matter, none of the rest of my party knew what they were doing.

Neuro Squama? Didn't turn around to face the walls, so we had unavoidable AOEs covering the entire arena, just about. Tank wouldn't pull the big butterfly bastard out of his green goo, so I was stuck having to either sit in it or not DPS. Then I died because AOEs.

Didn't pull the mobs into the light.

Didn't pull the last angel boss out of her Cure IV circle when it was a bleed.

I won the Morpho though, even after I gave up and just started doing my 1-2-3 combo and nothing else, and not even bothering with positioning, because if they're going to not care, I'm not either, I just don't have the g-d energy, I've been through too much this week. I'm not giving my best to a bunch of jackasses.
