Just finished a Doma Castle which had 3 wipes because our original healer was just.... I don't know lol. They were good up until Grynewaht where they stopped healing altogether. I get they were new, (watching cutscenes + new player bonus) but my goodness. I was a new WHM in Doma a couple weeks ago but I still healed!

I even wrongly blamed our tank for not waiting on the healer but we still wiped even when the healer WAS in the fight. They just left the tank at 10% hp and then didn't raise them when they died! After 3 wipes (IN DOMA CASTLE ARGH) we kicked and got a new WHM and cleared in 30 seconds. So if you're out there, Mr. Au Ra DRK, sorry. Wasn't your fault! Our healer was just... dead irl I guess lol. Should've expected it after 5 or so dungeons with zero issues I guess :<<<

I kind of have the problem of dying to unavoidable raidwides and wanting to type something passive aggressive about them not healing, but I have to stop myself since it usually just pisses the healers off and pissed off healers are well, not a good thing to have since it means you get no heals out of spite.

It sucks to die and be left on the ground for a long time while the healers spam damage skills, but you kind of have to get used to it a bit since not every healer is competent, even in savage content.

Apologize to the DRK in game the next time you're on.

I don't really see why I should grovel before the DRK considering the first wipe really was his fault. Overall he wasn't the problem, but he killed us the first time.

Did some experts with my RDM to get some decent gear as I was to cheap to buy a full crafted set and my crafting slaves were all offline.
That was by far the longest Twinning run I ever had. Over 45min in that thing without someone bailing and needing replacement.
PLD tank, WHM healer, another RDM dps.

First pull I noticed the other RDM never using Veraero II/ Verthunder II, so I gave her a little pointer to use one of those instead of Jolt II. No response but she did. Sometimes. Next thing I noticed that she never used Contre Sixte. Not once. Not a single Embolden or Manafication either. No Ench. Moulinet.
Imagine how long some pulls took ...
On the first boss we wiped once because both the WHM and the RDM positioned their aoe markers poorly and we ended up with 3 adds which trashed the tank. I ressed the WHM once and Vercured the tank until she was on her feet but it was already too late to salvage the situation.
Alright, next try. Told them to keep their markers away from the pods so they don't spawn adds which went fine from then on.
But the other RDM didn't use her melee combo let alone a single Verflare/ Verholy + Scorch. No Acceleration, Embolden, Manafication, Fleche, Swiftcast or Contre Sixte either and our tank did almost twice as much dps. The WHM did almost zero dps. Sometimes I had to help out with healing or ress so my own dps was also lower than usual. Needless to say, that thing took a while to kill.
Almost 5 minutes to be precise and she did a hefty...1,7k dps. At 80. In full HQ 450s gear. BOI.
After that the tank took to marking a kill order in single pulls.
At the second boss both the WHM and RDM messed up one mechanic after the other and the fight took forever but at least we didn't wipe. I tried to give the other RDM a few pointers but she kept silent again and nothing changed. Still no melee combo, no CDs, no oGCD dps skills.
Best part was the Tycoon.
Almost 8min on that boss.
Let that sink in for a moment. Eight minutes.
Both cat girls jumped from one stasis beam into the next, almost killing us several times even after I told them not to. Several deaths, several Verraises and Vercures, absolutely abyssmal dps from the other RDM, lower dps from myself because "how the hell did the healer die again?!". If not for the two cat girls constantly doting on each other and spamming other cutey emotes, I would've tried to votekick the RDM. But I figured they're a premade.
Props to the tank for enduring that nightmare.

I'm by no means a good RDM myself as I just got into playing it nor would I ever expect good gameplay in a goddamn expert. But jesus.
The basics, please. At least the basics. 1,7k st dps and 5-7k aoe dps is WAY below "the basics".

That's common with DF RDMs. They tend to be worst to group with. If you're even a half decent RDM, you'll be a breath of fresh air in DF.

Here's a great one a couple days back before i realized i need yet another break: I got a sheild astro in Holmster switch who was allergic to healing. first masspull failed in 15 seconds so i just stayed on smaller pulls. even THAT was a survival challange as I'm having to sit there and rotate my cooldowns on THREE OR LESS ENEMIES so i don't die in the huge lapses the astro chooses to heal me. i had a second death on the second set of 4 enemies right out side the second boss because they REFUSED TO HEAL ME AT ALL.

Ladies and gentlemen the best parts? I'm having to, as a Gunbreaker mind you, use my Aurora regen on the DPS during boss fights because they weren't even healing THEM! no one said crap the entire run. but boy did that 30 minutes or so feel like it happened in 50. Best part on top of all that? Green DPS. i started watching their casts after the first failed masspull: damage spells. gravity on 2 or less enemies when im below 45% health, bad card timing, felt like they barely used any cards. Every boss fight and fight in general felt like a sideshow attraction of 'Will I survive the healer remembering they have a very important job? Will any of the dps?'. I think the reason either of the two dps stayed was because i kept making a effort to keep an eye on their health during fights maybe. I learned more about my cooldowns than i felt like i had to.

By comparison the NEXT ASTRO SHEILDER WAS AT LEAST 90% better at managing their stuff and failed the masspull outside the first boss because they weren't used to it...they switched regen after but jesus christ that first one didn't even give us THAT curtesy, and at least the second case bothered checking everyone's hp more than maybe once a blue moon.

Edit: sidenote i got one comm in that first case, and i'm willing to bet it was the dancer i consistantly saw at lowest hp during every boss fight i kept having to play regen savior for most often.

Tanks running this way and that and then saying in chat "Positionals? What're those?" aren't cute and I hope when you level a DPS, you never get to use your positional abilities to their full ability because some dipshit tank just like you dithered about like a headless chicken.

When a tank gets to a group of mobs, establishes aggro, but continues to sit there, so Im thinking, ok he's not gonna continue, so it's ok to use Technical Step.... Tank starts running off as Technical Step begins. Why you LITTLE...!!!!!! This is even more frustrating when they do this while I'm in my burst window and they decide we need more buddies midway. Dude, my character is taller than the range of my AOEs... also Im not gonna have anymore burst window "juice" for your additional buddies. I get it, you see a DNC and you think HOLY CRAP, LEMME PULL SOME EXTRAS!!.. How about decide on that right at the start, rather than in the middle of a pull..

So they say but in my experience it's not DF RDMs so much as DF anything that tends to be garbage. Heck I beat my co-DPS like 99% of the time when I play RDM and that's including when my co-dps is a freaking black mage which should definitely be destroying me in DPS lol
