For a while with WHM I tried to use rescue productively...but it seemed to always just annoy people.

For example on O12 I used it on a blm I thought was about to get knocked off but he had surecast and I pulled him out of his circle and he got mad.

One time in the level 73 dungeon I decided to see if I could pull someone to me across the gap on the final boss. It...did not work.

So I just ended up taking it off my bar because rescue does more harm than good in my hands.

Oof, I forgot about rescue. It's on my bar but I never use it - does more harm than good most of the time. I did use it once to save someone's life a month or so ago, though, in (I think) The Aery when a DNC tunnel-visioned and I had to rescue them into the life-saving bubble of goodliness. Outside of rare cases, it's just a one-button way to make someone mad lol

Rescue definitely requires a level of not only fight awareness but mechanical awareness as well to use in a PuG scenario. I predominately use it to save DPS while they're LBing and get targeted by AoEs. Tends to work out favorably for me in that regard. Just keep at it and it'll start to become second nature

I got Rescued the other day while fighting the second boss in Mt Gulg. Well, "rescued", because they pulled me from a safe spot into two overlapping AoEs and I ate the floor. Thanks, pal.

It was that teeny tiny corner space near the boss I assume? Cus I get rescued so freaking much from there despite not taking any damage 2 times prior.

Not a vent, just a "roll my eyes" post?
Got Rabanastre in alliance roulette after who knows how long. If I queue alliance roulette as tank, I tend to keep stance off because I don't want to deal with aggro wars between the other two tanks. Usually though, that ends up happening anyway because no one bothers to call out who wants to MT. /eyetwitch

Enemies are murdered easily, but I notice off and on that the bosses keep turning back and forth between the other two tanks... Someone eventually says in alliance chat if they could get "1 person to tank, not 2 or 3?" Pff. I didn't bother saying anything, but excuse you sir/ma'am, the boss never turned to me because I didn't have stance on! /flex ... or something.

Get to Argath, and I end up zoning out while mashing keys and dodging aoes, etc. Notice towards the end both tanks are dead... somehow? Put stance on, taunt boss and we kill him in the next few seconds. Still don't know what happened towards the end.

Has anyone noticed a large spike in people being really incredibly rude lately? It was so great the past 2 months since SHB, but the past week or two, every duty I go in, someone has got to scream about something. Most recent was alliance roulette, got Mhach. In Ozma A and B wiped and the C healers went to raise A&B healers. A bard started screaming their head off, curse words and all, that the C healers need to stack, but it was right at the time where it does the 1 stack per alliance and since A and B were dead, 3 members of C got the stacks, so even if they had stacked, it would have wiped us all anyway with 3 hits. After the wipe they proceeded to scream multiple paragraphs of blaming literally everything that went wrong on those two healers... of course over half the instance noped out. Maybe it's about time people who subbed for SHB take a break, yeesh.

Actually I started experiencing it more the closer we got to ShB launch.

Admittedly wasnt a bad run but just a weird one
Leveling my alt, had PLD, a MNK, a SMN and me a SCH, was brayflox Paladin ran around like crazy with every mob he pulled like he was afraid to get hit or something, monk was new but he let us know at the start of the dungeon so its understandable he made some mistakes but the paladin was quiet all the way through and every mob he pulled he ran everywhere on the map never stood in one spot we almost wiped twice, i was just laughing the entire time and luckily the summoner was very competent, come to the boss and as youd expected they never moved the dragon even though i let them know we needed to keep it away from the puddles amazingly we managed to beat him both the ROG and PLD were sprouts but man that was pretty hilarious couldnt stop laughing whenever the paladin pulled he even tried to sneak past some mobs but was caught and just bolted i almost lost it completely

I've seen this happen often enough recently. Sure it's trivial content at this point, but we nearly wiped more than once with eye beams being aimed all over the place... Tanks plz.

Don't know why but recently here in doing eden normal for the week as gunbreaker, i have had the other tank just randomly decide its their turn to tank the boss and slap on tank stance and voke it off me. Which i mean whatever. Just kind of odd. Both the times it happened the other tank expressed no interest in main tanking. E4 was maybe understandable because of the tankbuster stack, but It is more than easily solo tanked and the other tank only decided to take it around half health.
