I mean, I self crafted all HQ gear myself, but I never bothered melding leveling gear unless I just had appropriate materia laying around taking up inventory space. It just seems excessive. Not to mention the materia impact you'd be attaching to level 27 gear...would it even give +1 or would it be +0?

Level 27 gear is only T1 materia so I'd just stick a secondary stat in there, can usually pick those up quite cheap off the MB, even crit. T2's are usually cheap too for higher levels but I don't stick T3's on leveling gear. I'm sure it doesn't make a massive difference but for a few hundred gil I figure I might as well, especially if I've saved 1000's by crafting it myself in the first place.

lately I don't know if this becoming a nom but in void ark one of the tanks pull while the rest of the party get lock out it happen too me and my friend a few time this week

I always melded accuracy on my phys. dps to be able zo hit higher lvl mobs while leveling, while also leveling crafter with that weekly bonus.

I was doing my trial roulette for that last bit of lore for the week. I get in progress sephirot normal, they wiped once I'm like cool no big deal a few newbies meh it's easy let's do this! Oh boy... We would get to final phase and people would forget to kill the wind thingy. Then when they were able to kill the wind thingy they kept dying to everything else. More than half the party would die and fall off and twice I raised the entire party with Healer LB 3 so we can finish the run and they all died again. Twice. I was done after that I like to help people and help get them clears but I have my limits >_<

I"ll go a head and put a couple things up.

1. That moment when you're the healer, and even if you aren't an end-game pro and are still working out some kinks, the tank tells you that he'll tank for you anytime. (>w<)

2. That moment when you don't get any comms despite the fact that you, the squishy thm dps (at Toto norm), had to play both healer and dps due to the healer going tunnel-vision on dps. To make things worse, the tank isn't gonna go out of his way to remove any adds that are jumping on you and/or the healer.

Ofc, you could just focus on dps as well, but on that offchance that the tank dies...welp, guess who's squishy butt is gonna go next. So yeah...and since I was getting hit too, well, dps + heal > dead dps = 0 dps. And if i didn't try to get the adds off the healer, well..id' be their target due to proximity. (I'm looking at you, final boss with your mites and stuff..)

I will admit, I did go to Toto 3 times that day, and the last group I was with was the only one where the tank tried to grab the adds. It was also a pretty fun party too, though we couldn't really friend each other due to being on dif servers. We had been communicative though, both about random things as well as what we were planning to do dungeon-wise (ie: full clear, which we did, or not). This also made me realize that with the right people, even repetitive content can be more, interesting.

Doing Mentor Roulette, get Odin. PLD pulls before anyone says anything, doesn't pop any buffs for the tank buster and proceeds to get 1 shot because they only have 7k HP. The WAR can tank extraordinarily well, but some of the DPS are new and are caught off guard by all the AoEs.

We wipe, PLD pulls again before anyone says anything yet a 2nd time. Pops 0 buffs, dies again. WAR MTs, DPS dodge a little better, but eventually we wipe.

PLD complains now about everything, I tell them that the NEED to pop buffs for the tank buster. For which they reply, "What buffs?" "Sentinel, Rampart, something. You are a PLD, you literally have 11 buffs to chose from." "You're not even speaking English."

We go again, PLD actually pops a buff for the tank buster. But tries to delay the damage by dragging Odin around the arena much to the melee's annoyance. We actually get him to 6% before we wipe again.

We try again and again and again. We're sub 30min on the timer now. I'm lagging, the WAR's TV isn't working, the PLD is trying to MT and not popping buffs, healers have no MP. We wipe.

So we vote abandon, everyone else is fairly calm about the situation but the PLD is freaking out and raging.

Thankfully I requeued after the abandon and got Titan NM with some fresh newbies who were really excited about the fight and listened very well to the tank and I when we explained what to look out for.

This is probably the dumbest comment of all and I dont care who made it. Whoever made it should best learn how to behave in a community where you factually dont know for sure IF the other person is really not having some language problems. Not telling is the case here but could be, saying stuff like that annoys me the hell out of me and I would initiate a kick vote just for that reason alone no matter if you (general you) are the best player ever.

It was the PLD and I did try to vote kick after that comment, but it was rejected. He at least made an attempt to pop buffs after that point so I let it slide.

I was doing some of the Midas set last night and having to run the first two floors A5+6 repeatedly to get the tokens I wanted. No biggie.

...But I had this one A6 run that just did not want to go right from the get go. People were taking a lot of extra damage and even one of the tanks for some reason was having difficulties staying alive. No biggie DF happens, it is slow, very slow but we are working our way through the four bosses. Then I get the message about the auto-clean about to go off. 10-9-8-7 suddenly everyone is DPSing like mad 6-5-4 a sliver of life remains 3-2- and we down the last boss... 0.0 Wow, I mean just wow. Grateful we cleared it but that was insanely close.

Earlier fight on A5 took a cleave to the face from the boss in big form when the tank couldn't hold aggro. It was early in the fight so I could only think he was either way undergeared to me or slow on applying his abilities. Never happened again after that but it was a surprise to see the boss turn on us like that. Same fight someone did not move and dropped the green sludge in the corner and we all had to move which meant that the bombs were not punted far enough and we wiped. Things went better after that.
