So, I basically met a really intelligent tank, like, super good at his job and using his brilliant tanking skills, he used a tactic of pulling mobs that I've never seen before.

This madman warrior basically did the unthinkable, and took overpower and defiance off his hotbar, and made the ingenious strategic choice of pulling packs of mobs using only single target skills.

I know, I know, I'm as amazed as you are.


Seriously though, I tried telling him to use overpower and switch on tank stance and he at least listened when I mentioned tank stance, but all of the pulls were single target with the mobs trampling all over the dps and healers.

The last 2 pulls he finally discovered steel cyclone and we had to lure the mobs over to the tank as he unleashed his single target steel cyclones that hit the mobs attacking us as collateral damage.

I honestly wanted to vote kick him but he seemed to be kinda learning and there would be a pull here and there where he missed his single target skill and hit overpower on accident, and he could at least hold boss aggro, which counts for something I guess?

Edit: I also forgot one other brilliant strategy he used, upon pulling mobs sometimes he would sheathe his axe and simply observe, waiting for a moment of weakness in the enemies before unleashing a flurry of devastating single target skills against the mob that was already attacking him.

I dunno why but recently in roulettes I got people who were lazy with their jobs:

-An AST in Bardam who didn't use any cards and when asked before the second boss to do so (why would you play an AST otherwise?) only gave Lady of Crowns cards...

-A dancer who never danced and a GNB who didn't use his Burst Strike combo in Twinning...

Other than that, I helped a friend unlock and do the Akadaemia Anyder dungeon. He was GNB, me SMN and we got a Dancer and a SCH. Nothing major to say about the run it was really smooth except for the dancer who was negative AF. They would call stuff lame or stupid everytime I would say something to my friends. Asked them to stop being so negative and they answered: "No because I'm having a bad day."
Well doesn't mean you have to ruin it for us you dumb dumb.

There's no excuse for this when you get poetics out the ying yang and getting the i400 gear is cheaper and easier than ever.

Not to mention the game gives you white oak coffers that produced 390 gear.

Anyway, this is from getting Innocence HM in Trials Roulette earlier. Placed with a DRK, me a gunbreaker, who was level 79 and still in the Dwarven gear. Me being in mostly Ronkan, with a few artifact, pulled the boss. Despite not having grit on, he kept trying to provoke Innocence off me literally every single time it was on cooldown. We all told him to please stop, several times, but then he just started turning on grit once I got his pattern of annoying us down. We wiped twice because I, of course, was distracted by him continuing to do this. So I let him have Innocence once, he instantly died, then continued to try and take him after the wipe that resulted from that. We had to vote dismiss him. I didn’t feel the best about it because he was a sprout (yes in ShB), but he was actively sabotaging us because he wanted to assert dominance or something stupid like that.

Something that is happening more often than I would like is tanks in dungeons level 80 (or any dungeon when they aren't properly geared) pulling from wall to wall, me trying to keep them alive for more than 2 mins as AST, tank dies and then they start pulling like 1 mob at a time cuz they are mad. Why not pull 2/3 or 1/2 instead? We wiped cuz you pulled 14 enemies, not 3.

Been leveling dancer over the past week and never really ran into any troublemakers until last night. So it begins by poofing in to Aurum Vale. No big deal. Dancer has AOE hell from early levels minus the aoe feather. For some reason DRK tank decided he wants to try to full clear the first room. Proceeds to pull almost the entire right side. I laughed a bit and thought to myself that this was gonna be a fun run. DNC AOE is fun to spam. So Edge Lord McSpikeyGround goes and does unleash and I smack on a Standard step and I now have 4 or 5 mobs out of a rather large AV first room group. Lets just say I melted faster than an ice cube out on the curb of a Louisiana summer.

WIPE (to the first pull of the first room) This gon' be good.

Myself and the healer asked the tank if there was a reason why they decided to go the long way and all we got was a "Yee."

ROUND 2
Tank decides to take the left path (mind you we are still in the first room of AV) and goes a little bit smaller. All seems well. I slam out a Standard finish, I start aoe'ing....HALF HEALTH. "Tank please pull back agro." "lol nobody died." Yeah because the healer was actually good and could take healing both myself and your derpy self.

I was watching what the tank was doing and it was basically just unleash once and then single target until everything died. Didn't matter if it was a large or small pack so it usually ended up with me holding a few mobs for the entirety of every pull. I asked again if they could please do their job and all I got back was "lol You're paying me?" Right about that time is when I knew I was dealing with a child so I just dropped it. The attitude came off as If I would have said anything more, there was gonna be a report thrown my way. So basically just head down, Shut up, and get out.

OH and some how I got called a toxic mentor for asking a tank to "Please take agro back." Literally the wording I used. Word for word. Is that really toxic?

It's weird to see tanks lose aggro nowadays. I mean you gotta be really bad to manage that.

was running tam- tara yesterday, tank mentions it's their first time healing this dungeon, fair enough. So we start running the dungeon and one of the ds starts shouting at the tank for not using any AOEs, giving no consideration to the fact that their new at this. We coninue running and the dps proceeds to just run into monster groups ahead of the tank, I was the healer here and I managed to keep everyone alive. the dps eventually starts calling for the tank to be kicked from the party, though the tank just leaves before any vote commences. I hope they weren't scared off tanking by that experience. We manage to clear the dungeon without a tank, with some difficulty I manage to keep him alive through the rest of the dungeon, I had half a mind to just let him die but wasn't in the mood for anymore drama, we were lucky it was only tam-tara, any higher level dungeons this would probably have been a failure.

Just got out of Labyrinth.

Wiped on last boss, obviously. Came back and saw a lalafell (I think) still caught by a claw and so the boss kept spamming his move while the rest of the alliance are locked out until the claw is finished and the lalafell (or some other small race, then again, I'm a Viera) falls dead on the ground.

Second try, killed the boss before second ancient flare. Figures.

Should be noted that I was in front of them for at least a second (even quickly backed up behind them), long after they had already activated the bat mobs after the first boss of Qitana Ravel (how am I supposed to know when they're going to suddenly stop once they realise the healer KO'd? I was looking at the loot list and seeing if I already had X item or not). A minute later, I coyly said "whatever you say~" I could have called them out then and there, but why waste two other players times because the tank was being numpty?

Worst part is they did nothing when the bats appeared, so the MNK KO'd because they AoE'd (bats were on the tank) and then I KO'd because I figured the tank would actually do something. They could have easily survived the 10-15 seconds it took the healer to arrive; they arrived just as I KO'd and then the healer almost KO'd because they tried to save me. Needless to say, I was not happy with this tank.

See this worries me because when the Nier alliance raids come out I feel it's gonna be a huge provoking contest between the geared tanks and the inexperienced ones.
