Been farming Castrum Abania for SCH book and just had a lv 70 GNB who was still wearing their lv 60 starter gear. And I'm not sure they were using any CDs because they died three times to trash :') Haven't seen HP drop that fast in a looong time. At least got 2 comms so presumably could see was not my fault...

You have my sympathy. I had to play healer to a tank with i320 gear on in that same dungeon. That was an...interesting experience.

There's no excuse for this when you get poetics out the ying yang and getting the i400 gear is cheaper and easier than ever.

Had a healer in the twinning last night. Sat around most of the time, not healing, not dpsing. Popped hallowed on a single trash pull do to lack of heals.

I know it wasn't me, my healer friends have no issues keeping me healed and putting out dps. This person was just lazy. Final boss took 5 minutes to kill....

Got Tsukiyomi for my Trial Roulette today. I think most of us didn't pay attention to the new person warning before trucking in but it's something I honestly regret now looking back. The first attempt was... Well.. About what you'd expect with fresh newbies who didn't know what they were doing and who basically had to learn the fight as if they had hit the ground running the day the patch was released. I was constantly out of mana due to being a Verraise bot and it was just a mess for that first attempt. Second attempt though it went beautifully. Everyone had been paying attention during the clusterbomb that was the first attempt and those who made mistakes apologized for them before pressing forward. No one got mad at anyone, no one quit, we just hunkered down the older players offered to explain a few things, and off we went. We one shot it with no deaths the second time and it just left a big smile on my face.

I'm going to try and be more cognizant of the new player bonus in those kind of fights going forward and try to explain things from the start, but I'm just really proud of that group and how well they pulled together.

Level 77 dungeon. Had a healer getting mad at me because they thought I kept getting hit by something. It was just Stalwart Soul, the new dark knight AOE ability, and they hadn't seen it before.

Healer: well why is it eating your hp
Me: ......because there's six enemies hitting me?

They got salty about me "being a smartass" (buddy, you have no goddamn idea) and wouldn't heal after seeing it one more time, despite both DPS telling him to get on with it. So we all decided to just wait him out. He ran off to go pull more and force us to keep going.....so we retreated, let the enemies eat him and reset, and vote kicked him. Got a new healer, went nice and smooth after that.

It's like those people who run as far away as possible when the get Dragon Sighted by a DRG and think they're trying to lead them to death.

A small positive experience from a die-hard newbie clicker with an innate instancephobia noticable by for example starting each one with sweaty hands and racing heart (as DPS; tanking would be too much for someone who avoided most dungeons in his MMO "life"): I did earlier Toto-Rak for my MSQ on my Dragoon with another DPS, an Astrologian and a Dark Knight. Both whom I assume have already had prior experience in whatever form and shape. Anyway, after a while the other DPS disconnected I guess, but thanksfully Astro and DK carried on, ending with a smooth clear. I'd love to believe they could also have duo'ed it, but thank you nontheless for letting me tick off another dungeon on my story playthrough.
