That's harsh. It sounds like you need a vacation from healing. And now for a Burn expert. Dragoon and Warrior with i320 weapons and some other gear of the same level. No new people.
Things went fine otherwise (though I needed way more cures than usual), until we got to the final boss.
WAR does not mitigate the tank buster and just goes splat. I would have had about 0.8 seconds to Bene him between the hit and the DoT killing him. I rez him. DRG & SMN start tanking. DRG gets hit by something that freezes+vulns him, and he goes splat. Boss goes into the add phase. No rez help from the SMN (my Swift still on CD), big AoE gets to cover the whole arena. Ouch. I somehow heal through, and thankfully the line breath goes on me and not the DRG, since I can survive it. Now it's just heal spam from me until divebombs. DRG stands in both, just jiggling back and forth. DRG loses 80% HP from the Touchdown and Rime Wreaths, and is of course targeted by the line. Just goes splat through Benison.
Boss dies, WAR bails immediately, I get one comm for hard carrying the entire party. And seemed like it might have been from the summoner who was doing decent sans total lack of Resurrect and Diversion. *sigh*
Might I recommend tanking?
This joke is less funny since your main class is set to PLD. :c
And my (raid) main still is Paladin, though I usually run experts with Warrior instead (love the IR Cyclone spam too much). I just take White Mage for a spin every now and then, when I want a change of pace.
So essentially, I was taking a vacation from tanking, and this happened![]()

Just finished Sastasha on GLA... after doing all of the Hall of the Novice tanking sessions and watching two full video guides. I only really competed for hate a little with a yellow carbuncle. Everyone else was a class not a job, and the healer was new but did great. So no big pulls but no issues either. Three comms, I suspect because I announced I was new. So, I guess *technically* I can now say I've tried tankingSo, my first time tanking went really well! I kept aggro and nobody died. I got a commendation at the end, but everyone left before I could give my comm. I gained three levels in the process, and almost got a fourth.
Right on zoning in, I said, "Hi! It's my first time tanking," and the healer said, "You'll be fine, just face the bosses away from us," or something like that.
It was fun! Tinythinker, I really think you should just give it a try.![]()
(not really, tho....)
edit: and Tam-Tara... again very nice group
edit 2: and Copperbell... another topaz carbuncle, and it's been PUG (Sastasha), PUG (Tam Tara), NIN (Copperbell) for the melee slots *hmmm*... good practice holding targets steady for positionals
edit 3: and Tam-Tara again when I tried the leveling roulette, with a MNK this timeI feel pretty good about tanking when it's just these three, sure glad it doesn't get any harder than this
Did have my first tank death this time, but it was just a random thing (I let a patrolling add sneak up on me when I was already tanking three and it caught the healer off-guard)

Thanks for helping make the FFXIV community a fun and welcoming place. If you're not sure you have (and you very likely have), make it a point to be patient or helpful the next time you log in so that you can know you've made a difference.
If you're on the Aether data center, congratulations! I might be your nextexciting adventurehealer in the Duty Finder. Please look forward to it.

...Except for the Arcanist not getting the memo on never using Topaz in dungeons, but eh, that'll only be an issue for another week.
...Except I'm sure we'll still find enough people using Summon II even though it's obviously going to be less helpful than the alternatives. It just won't fight you over enmity anymore. X(
(sorry for the pessimism)

She's got a chicken to ri-ide, she's got a chicken to ri-i-ide...
She's got a chicken to ride, this game's from Square!
AST healing in Doma Castle. It's not my first time healing it, or into level 70 content, but healing isn't my favourite role (though I highly respect my healers as a former tank main). It's so much not my favourite, that I have my fiance come with me as a confidence-boosting charm, and it usually works out great. Today, I did a levelling on my own to get my AST more experience.
The party consists of a DRK, a MNK, and a BLM, the tank and MNK were new. The tank does the usual double pull, starts dropping like a rock, then we get picked off in quick succession. I called it my bad, thinking I might have mismanaged my healing. We recover, the tank only took on the three mob pull at the start, but I notice that they're still getting hammered, and kept clipping the telegraphs from the giant. I inspect them, and they're a mix of level 62, 63, and 64. Not my ideal, but in any case, they were taking a lot of damage. We wiped when they pulled the giant with three Garlean mobs. At that point, I had to spam heal them with everything I had to keep them alive. I start wondering if I should change from nocturnal to diurnal, but that got me the same result. Trash continued to be rocky, and was essentially me fishing for Ewers, Lucid Dream/Celestial Opposition, Earthly Star, and Essential Dignity to help keep up with the damage that the tank and DPS were taking, for reasons I was too busy running out of mana from putting out the fires to fathom. There was so much incoming damage taken, I couldn't even think about DPSing.
The DPS was also slow going, only the MNK was new, but trash and bosses took so long to die, I was seeing mechanics and patterns I never knew even existed. That on top of the damage was pretty awful. The run itself probably took 45 minutes, and my soul went to another plane of existence as I noped so fast out of that instance. I normally at least say "thanks for the run," but I was too dead inside.

Alphascape v2.0 (normal). People are dying left and right, I am talking 4/5 dps dying at least 2-4 times each and the other healer dying 4-6 times (2 tries). I get demanded to raise people even though my swiftcast is on cd for a few more seconds, hardcast raise. They are demanding that I hardcast raise on a fight where I have to dodge aoe, and cite that the amount of stones I was using could have been one raise. The kicker was several of these people dying so many times were mentors, had the "PvE mentor" (if I remember correctly) crown at that. Pretty typical if you ask me! I'm over here thinking why don't you just not die so many times!![]()
WHM | RDM | DNC
Bardam.
Tank kept sprinting and pulling everything whilst being quite undergeared. The healer kept blaming him for not using CDs and whatnot even thought he kept spamming Medica II even with small-ish pulls. Both kept arguing with each other and I just stood there praying the gods for the dungeon to end quickly.
Took ~25 minutes to finish. Oh goodie.
