Just got out of this one.
It's The Vault, which I don't personally consider a difficult dungeon. The cast is me, a nin, and three sprouts from <redacted> (which I consider to be the worst server on Primal) who didn't seem to be a pre-made. The tank was 62, in shire gear, and I think it was a booster that got them there. The healer had 4 i90 left side pieces and a 50 115 vendor book. The bard stated they were new and they did ok so they get a pass.
First pull, the tank is in tank stance. I start doing my AOE and I suddenly have all the aggro. The bard is single targeting and gets aggro, the healer eventually gets aggro and lucids. I kill everything, we move on. Second pull, I shadewalker the tank. Third pull, he seems to have gotten the message that he's the one that should have aggro, and he actually uses flash and circle of scorn. Now that he's learned how to deal with adds, let's move on to the first boss.
The tank can't hold aggro on the initial trash before the dude transforms, whatever. Throughout the fight he's constantly turning it, and the healer gets one-shot by the cleave. We clear it the second time, accidents happen.
We slowly get through more trash and reach the second boss. Tank waits for Fight or Flight to come off cooldown and pops it pre-pull while I'm waiting there doing huton every 20 seconds. Whatever. The fight starts, the dude transforms, then I see it. The tank had just turned the boss once more. Standing behind him is the poor i90~ healer. The cleave goes off, and the scholar metaphorically flies across the arena, landing in a bloody puddle, their mortarboard cracked in two. We eventually die, the DPS is kind of low, but I don't want to blame the bard at all.
Second run, purple death orbs circle the arena. I am the only one in a safe spot. Everybody dies.
Third run. I play very conservatively and do my best not to get cleaved to take stress off the i90~ healer. At times the boss is positioned so poorly I have no choice but to stand at range and throw daggers and shurikens. Then the tank turns the boss again, running into a purple circle to do so, and dies. I get aggro, the healer resses the tank, I eventually die despite second wind and Shade Shift due to no other healing. Scholar heals up the newly alive tank.
The boss then kills the healer and the bard while the tank is doing Rage of Halone, because how does provoke work? Well, I don't think they actually knew, because I had seen them use it several times when they already had aggro. At least they didn't pull with it.
Eventually the tank dies, I vote abandon, it goes through. I feel bad for the bard not getting their clear, but not enough to sit through another 30 minutes of smashing my head against that boss.
Nobody said anything the entire time, but I doubt either the tank or healer considered the possibility that they were both the problem. Heck, in their heads they were probably blaming me and the bard. Who knows.
