Isn't there some method of reporting mentors, which can potentially lead to them getting banned from being a mentor? I seem to recall seeing something in the patch notes about it, including something along the lines of that if a mentor is not upholding what SE wants mentors to be (if they're trolling, sucking at their job, griefing or whining, etc) it is grounds for reporting.

Nothing in Duty Finder unfortunately other than the usual vote kick, which... does not penalise the mentor.
You can however kick them from the novice chat I believe, if you deem them to be acting in a way that removing them is justified, unfortunately that is only temporary and prevents you from removing anyone else acting in the same manner for a time.

That's how I recall it, I should just read the patch notes...

There isn't a new way to do this, just the old way of reporting. Under the main menu, go to 'support desk', then 'contact us', and then... most likely 'report harassment'.

I was MTing Main Scenario as a Paladin earlier and everything was going fine and then we got to Nero. I saw the Bard's name was Dark Something, so I was like, "Dark do the thing!" So I was waiting for the LB noise when I heard the Dark Knight switch to Grit and lunge at him. I was thinking to myself, yup that was poor communication on my part. And the Dark Knight just tanked the rest of the run.

As soon as my gladiator hit level 16, I got Tam-Tara every day in Leveling Roulette until the one day I hit level 44 on paladin - then I spent an entire week tanking Dzemael Darkhold .___.

I was running Midas 2 earlier this week with an FC tank, and the PLD died because he took too many stacks before I could peel the boss off him, I tried to pick it up but the monk got one-shot because they were at the top of the hate list, and the monk got super salty about how I lost hate to him. It's like, okay, MT dies, I have to swap to Defiance, provoke, and secure aggro and in the meantime, you're whaling on him to keep your GL stacks. YES, YOU DIED.

Best story ever... probably not for the reason you think.

As 50 DRG, i often attack a target no one else really attacks so i actually have time to set up debuffs and DoTs cause i like it, and it's nice training to remember when to refresh on stronger mobs or bosses.

Is that wrong?

This is now about players who refuse to crossclass the basic stuff like swiftcast, raging strikes and the likes. My boyfriend just had a healer in M4 without swift who got told off by the party and reminded me of old times extremes I was trying to clear in DF. This guy in M4 apprently answered that it was his third alt in an attempt to excuse his lack of crossclass, but imo this doesn't say much in his favour. Like, ok you spent the time to level 3 characters to 60, do endgame with them and still don't know the basics? I've got 3 alts myself and first thing I do before entering dungeons for the first time is making sure they got all their crossclass skills ready, at least the needed things, it only takes a few hours to get it all ready and sorted ^^;

In my case it was mainly healers aswell who either don't get how this game is all about combining and mixing all classes into one character, don't understand how their decisions help or hinder the party, or "I pay my suscription, I play as I want".

First one amongst quiet a few I've come across was in Iffy extreme, a whm with only one other class, thaumaturge 15, just enough to have whm. His attitude was very cocky too. I was on blm and his co-healer died. While this guy hardcasts raise, the tanks were going down, then me, then wipe, and he was still casting. I ask "you don't have swiftcast?" and check party list. Nope, thm 15. He starts "Can't be arsed to". We try again. Same story, but I die now after the co-healer, and say something like "you really should get it, it's only a few more levels and it will help a lot". Cocky guy: "I hate blm, if I wanted to be a blm, I'd be one. I'm a whm, I hate blms stfu noob". We wipe again. The party starts telling him off, he keeps focus on me telling me l2p and learn to dodge and blm noob and things. Apparently it was my fault that the party wiped all over again while he was hardcasting raise on the co-healer and not healing the tanks... Anyways, I wanted to kick him so bad but we abandoned.

Iffy X again, now a sch without swift... this guy doesn't even answer (I kept quiet, someone else asked him about it, I think the other healer) about how he enters extremes without having his class basics etc. Wipe and wipe and abandon, god I only wanted the clear and move on... a new DF party and there he is again! No success again and I just did something else that day. Eventually I got the clear on all extremes thank the 12 but what a journey...

Then HW, loads of 60 healers again with the same story, no swift, blms without raging, tanks without any other tank skills etc etc etc...
I keep seeing these kind of people and some make me cringe but none like the first guy, the cocky guy, christ I wanted to slap him so bad, and still do :/

I can imagine seeing these people later on, having been carried through all extremes and coils and alexes and shouting "See?! Didn't need crossclass after all! Noob!"

Yay to that, just had an ST run on kitty alt (she has all needed crossclass skills) as whm, our pld was the entire run without any oath, and my fellow whm with thm15 moaning about early pulls (not early, but he couldn't slowcast SS2) with medica2 spam, no dps and general overcuring \(^_^)/
