Ok leveling all my jobs to 50 really makes me appreciate players who know the lower level dungeons.

So I queued up for "Yay!!!" Aurum Vale and I'm healing as AST....hmmm.

I've had some trouble with AV but I LOVE that dungeon. I love the challenge. I love you can't bulldoze through it. After I had completed it, I knew I had earned my healer wings.

I told them "Believe what you want, but you will let me lead as that is my role."

Absolutely beautiful. Good job standing up to the jerk.

Oh I feel ya. You seem like a cool guy. If you ever need a tank for end game stuff just message me in game. I'll gladly tank with ya

I had a Sohm Al for leveling roulette and my emotions were conflicted. The bard played well but also was GROSSLY undergeared.

ilvl 43 bow (stone vigil weapon)
ilvl 90 (level 50 quest armor) left side
ilvl 50 and below jewelry

All in a dungeon that expects you to be in 115-120+

I suppose it was a blessing that the bard weapon dropped at the end, and he actually rolled need on it? Would've been helpful for the run though since I was doing double his damage as the healer, or more.

I do still enjoy the irony of being called an edgelord by a man named 'Nightshade Darkblood'

Just got out of a manor normal party where not only the tank had forgotten to equip their stone, but was also:

Wearing lvl 15-23 gear on the left, right side was lvl 1 save for the lvl 26ish shield,
Would only use Flash once per group,
Would only use Shield Lob once in a blue moon,
Had no real idea you could stun the maidservants, then proceeded to have each boss get stun immunity in less than 30 seconds,
Would let me or the rest of the party tank some of the mobs if I did not ride Diversion due to a lack of Shield Oath. I was on monk.

In the same party, I had an archer (yes, archer, they had just turned 30 when I replaced a dps), that really, REALLY liked spamming Quick Nock on any group, even if it was just 2 mobs. Despite my kindly pointing that out, he still kept doing it, leaving him tp dry 75% of the dungeon and staring at the mobs.

Help me.

Despite my kindly pointing that out, he still kept doing it, leaving him tp dry 75% of the dungeon and staring at the mobs.

To be fair quick nock is a DPS gain even with 2 enemies (150 single target with heavy shot vs 220 for 2 targets with quick nock) granted if they're running out of TP to spam when you move on and there's a group of 3-4+ mobs then it's a loss overall. Still, I've definitely quick nocked 2 mobs at that level assuming I'll have enough for the next group.

So I queue for Trials Roulette as WHM tonight. Get King Mog. It's fun, but definitely a hot minute since I've done it. So we get to it and get to the King pretty quickly, despite my bit of lag (I hate that damned red circle). Thats when everything goes to hell. The King calls down the Meteor and everyone but myself and the two tanks die. Naturally I panic a bit, hit Swiftcast and then Raise. I don't know if it was the lag or me misclicking, but nothing happened. Great. I hit Medica II and it goes off instantly. Double great. So I hard Raise the SCH in the group and then, bam, OT dies. Bless that SCH because between the two of us, we manage to raise and heal up the group and beat King Mog.

The SCH commented "That's one hell of a recovery" and I get 5 comms. I'm so proud of myself. If you were in my group, thank you for such an adrenaline inducing, fun run!

Howling's a 60 second CD (I remember this because it always lines up with Internal, but not Riddle), and Rock Breaker's a GCD, not OGCD, although that's probably just a typo.
But yeah, in large pulls positionals go out the window. Sure, landing the occasional flank or rear *helps* but not nearly as much as consistent Rock Breaker. 20 potency positional vs 130 extra potency per mob... isn't even a contest.

Like I said my head's been fuzzy today as I haven't gotten enough sleep after a long day of driving my parents to a wedding they were invited to and I was typing half a sleep most of the time yesterday xD
