I'm so sorry that you had do go through this but it makes me a really hard laugh

I personally don't understand why it's so hard playing a BLM properly. I've ran into some Icemages, Thundermages or Freezemages and sometimes they've made me really annoyed. Especially if the tank does big pulls.

I don't get it why a tank does big pulls if one or both DPS aren't AOEing and the healer just heals and then stands around.

Haha I mostly share these stories to make people laugh so I am glad. Feels good to get it off my chest instead of just silently fuming in a corner.

Casters are my least fav to play, but my goodness BLM is so easy to play early on. I'm just like... DID YOU MAKE 0 EFFORT TO TRY?!

I ran into another gem of a BLM

As a BLM this hurts my explody soul of destruction. Our rotation is among the easiest to learn in the game - especially at level 50. You could do the entire crystal tower raid with only 4 spells on your hotbar and only lose maybe 5% of your potential damage(possibly less - you spend a lot more time in boss fights then in multi-mob trash encounters). And this guy didnt even use 3 of those spells! I swear, some of us know how to burn things good and blow them up when we're done with them.

I ran into another gem of a BLM in WoD today.

I didn't start watching them until Cerberus thankfully cause I probably would have had an aneurysm. They kept using the LB. So I started watching them and realized their rotation consisted of Thunder III, BREAK, FLARE, FLARE... Wait for a minute.... FLARE... THUNDER III, FIRE II (On a single target...) FLARE... WAIT... BREAK. FLARE. LB. FLARE. WAIT...

I'm having flash backs to the time I was healing WoD and I had the FIRE III, BLIZZARD III, FIRE III, BLIZZARD III.

I'm so triggered right now.

I don’t play BLM. I never learned how to do a proper rotation past the level 60 rotation (because I never play the job except to make a fool of myself), and this triggers me.

Yet another bad healer in Doma tonight. Noticed the majority of them comes from the two RP servers. Spite I have the necessary gear on my DRK, she couldnt keep me alive spite cooldowns and my self heals, or rather, she just didnt really heal or shield me well, checked her gear, was wearing Ilv130 accessories....yep.

I left instantly. I knew it was gonna be a headache. I usually craft or do quests for the 30 mins. Meh.

Doma seems to be a nexus for undergearing. I present you exhibit number 1743249:




What's wrong with this picture? ALMOST EVERYTHING IS AT 270.

Except for the bracelet, which was a 280something.

AND THE PRE-ORDER EARRING (which wouldn't so bad if at least half of the gear slots were either up to date or close).

Aggro issues? Check.
Melee still taking aggro after abusing any enmity dumping tool for whenever I could? Check
Weird tanking where you're making the melee chase after multiple mobs that have 8% health left or less instead of staying put and killing them? Check.

"But these don't happen often" They say. "It's not that big of a deal" they say.

Yeah, I guess it isn't if you step foot in doma like, once a week or month >.>

The only credit I can give to the tank here was that she didn't try to mass pull. Much.

I should honestly be sleeping because I have class in like... 10 hours. But I wanted to do some Mentor Roulettes because I’ve been falling behind on doing a few each day, and I got Garuda Ex in the one I just got out of (after a string of Guildhests and 2 Doma Castles).


I zone in, and it’s me on RDM, another mentor on MCH, a returning WHM, and a BRD. Well, eventually, the WHM (who I’m guessing was the one who queued into the EX) leaves, the BRD leaves, and another mentor queues in on RDM right as the BRD leaves. So it’s 3 mentors sitting in there sharing Tales of the Mentor Roulette. We get a mentor WHM, who walks in on all three of us doing the Manderville Mambo. They start talking with us, and join in on the dancing. Slowly, more mentors came—some went, but those who stayed joined in on the fun stories and Manderville dancing. Everyone that came in just saw us all standing there dancing in sync and were like “wtf” - literally the same reaction from everyone. XD

It took 30 mins, but we eventually got a full party of mentors except one person (DRK) who said they forgot to queue into unsynced (I’m guessing for WT). All mentors except one were doing the Manderville Mambo when they zoned in, and they were like “...I have no idea what I just joined in on...” We start laughing and meme a bit more before one of the RDM’s face pulls with Corps-a-corps (while screaming “LEEEEEEROYYYY” of course).


We wiped once because we were memeing too much (and because we said “Party full of Mentors? What could possibly go wrong?!” and jinxed it), and Chirada got her 8 stacks of Vulnerability Down. The second pull we almost killed the Spiny because we started memeing again about killing it. But we actually did Garuda EX as a 7/8 Crown party/Mentor trap. XD



I really wish I could have commended everyone who was there. I chose the MCH since they and I were the ones in there together the longest.

Is Ultima EX so scary for healers or something?

Yesterday I queued for mentor roullette as MNK and joined an in-progress run of Ultima EX with only 1 minute elapsed in the timer

Reason:Both a healer and a DPS left instantly as soon as the instance began and I arrived in the middle of the first pull which,with 1 healer,it obviously ended in a wipe.

We wait for healers to come by as i teach new people the mechanics.A healer comes in and also instantly leave the moment they laid eyes on ultima so we wait again and finally we get a healer who decided to stay.The funny thing is when this mentor healer arrived the tank pulled immediately fearing they might leave too which...I dunno but I found this funny for some reason xD.

Things went smoothly and we killed ultima by the third pull.Can any healer here tell me why is this instance so scary for them?

Cuz the two hardest points of the fight to heal from my observation is damage from the orbs,healing the tank through the inflicted vuln stacks and dodging the magitek bit lasers but other than that .....it's not that hard of a fight to go through especially in comparison to Titan EX

I just recently leveled bard and it turns out it actually can happen without the help of MSQ rewards unless you make an effort to either farm for gears or buy it. I got hold up farming shisui and by the time I continued and not long afterward, I was knocking on 69 still in all item level 270 gears (just the level 63 version instead of the level 60 version). Never even got Bardam or Doma in roulettes. Of course, I decided to buy all level 68 gears (except for earrings, using aetheryte for that) in case I got Abania for leveling roulette (I didn't, but I had to do Abania twice manually anyway to get to 70 that last day instead of waiting another day).

Copperbell roulette on alt. Tried to explain to a French sprout Thaumaturge when to use what spells. Either they didn't read chat, or
"1-2 (enemy) = (Fire), 3+ (enemy) = (Fire II). 1-3 (enemy) = (Blizzard), 4+ (enemy) = (Blizzard II)"
isn't a sufficiently understandable autotranslate message.
All those poor single-target Blizzard IIs and Fire IIs. T_T

On the flipside, got an expert roulette done in sub 13 minutes afterwards. Sure went smooth, that run.
