The first one - in progress AV. 18 minutes elapsed, first boss still alive, aswell as most of the mobs in the first room. Party consist of a new paladin and blm (both german) and a level 60+ dragoon.
My level 50 sprout-paladin hasnt figured out the magic that is "flash" yet, so the first pull is basically everyone tanking - I someone manage to keep myself, the tank and the dragoon alive and we only need to account for a dead blm, most likely because they were standing in the swamp (and I neither had the time, the ressource nor - to be honest - the will to heal through that).
I could go into details about every horrible minute of that 40 minute run, but I dont want to type a novel - so just the highlights:
- even after the third explantion the tank doesnt get the concept of flash. I finally explain in german, only to have to repeat myself 5 minutes later when a bunch of mobs comes over to eat my face off after I cast the first heal.
- the dragoon is trying to help the tank - by marking mobs. In a complete nonsense-order. And with a tank who doesnt even understand/follow those marks.
- dragoon also has little clue on how to play paladin and tells the tank to flash during the last bossfight - while the tank had a strong aggrolead and there were no adds present... I can appericiate the thought and the wish to help, but... if you dont actually know what you're talking about, dont talk about it, maybe?
- bossfights were hell. I ran out of mana several times, because no one was able to avoid AoEs at all, follow eating-orders (that were given in both english and german) or use cooldowns. Dps was pretty bad too, so it took them ages to die.
I get people being new and everything, but this tank was really pushing it... level 50 and not having figured out flash? Thats... bad.
My second story at least isnt as bad - its AK, inprogress aswell. From the conversation I gather that everyone of my teammates joined in progress and that non of the original members is left - whoever they were, they made it to the first boss, but not past it. Despite the DRK not knowing the optimal pulls for the dungeon (I'm not sure whats more sad - the DRK not knowing those pulls, or me still recalling them 5 years after the dungeon was relevant...), nothing intresting happens.
...until we kill the demon wall and proceed to find our way to the last boss totally mob-free. No succubi, no ahriman, no dulhans patrolling... nothing.
And I have no idea why. Did they nerf the dungeon again by removing not only the bees but also a third of the trash-mobs? Can anyone enlighten me?
