Got drunk tonight and kept calling this Duskwight Elezen dusky daddy.

Used a limit break on the second boss cuz the healer died and I freaked out. It worked, but still.

I also learned that I need to come up with an ending to these "A cat walks into a bar with X" so I can make myself laugh even more.

Also, I wanted to call the Motherbit Motherb---- but I didn't because I felt like I was being offensive enough with my drunken ramblings. I DID end up with like 5 commendations from 3 groups, so I guess I did something right?

Finally, I hit a 15K crit for the first time and felt way more proud of myself than I probably should.

This is just SO stupid of them. I get being in a hurry, and i get trying to squeeze one last run in before work. But in what world does it matter if they eat the penalty? Theyre going to work. They wont be playing for the next 30 mins! The penalty shouldnt mean anything to them! I mean, i guess if they already ate 2 of them and dont want a temp ban to be in effect when they get back home. But if thats the case, then the problem is clearly identified. And of course the person in a hurry is the one being sloppy and causing wipes. Thats like, always the case. Painful.

Had a few more roulettes today that were just triple-facepalm worthy.

Had a rdm in Gubal normal wearing the entire 50 base set you get for unlocking the class. They were doing their combos relatively well, but their damage output was horrendously low. Same party had a war tank that mass pulled in Deliverance and almost died a few times, leaving me dry on mp 75% of the run. I had no idea what the mnk was doing other than blowing through their tp like water. Everything was dying so slowly and the tank eating so much damage that I was afraid to use DoTs out of fear of letting the tank die.

After a few more parties I dragged my friend into it, and he brought his blm. We queue up and had a drk and sam in Sor Kai that really had no clue what they were doing. The sam somehow got to 60, full shire, and had no idea what their combos were. The drk somehow was what many would describe, for a lack of a better term, as the 'half-puller': he would pull mobs and run off after setting down his own aoes and pull more when the group he had was half-dead. He did this throughout the entire dungeon.

The sam would actually contribute by simply running around and doing nothing. Not engaged to mobs, no weapon out, nothing; while the rest of us were nuking as hard as the game would allow. He did this for a majority of the dungeon.

Final boss after I remind the both of them about falling off the platforms and being out of the fight if that happens, the sam proceeds to do just that after the second Cauterize. Once dead, he then proceeds to ask for a Raise. Sorry bud, but if you fall off, just like in Titan, I can't res you.

Two more roulettes and we get decent parties afterwards, probably to make up for the shenanigans I had to suffer earlier.

An unusually positive experience in Castrum Meridianum: for possibly the first time ever in my experience, the tanks stayed on the two watchtowers in the parade ground, and killed all the enemies before deactivating the searchlight that triggers the gunship to attack.

Usually that part is a complete mess of trying to still fight a whole pack of enemies as we emerge from the cutscene (and the tank being engaged in tanking those enemies) while we also try to fire cannons, and the extra colossi turning up and attacking everything.

This time? No enemies to deal with, each tank immediately picked up a colossus, other players straight to the cannons and we downed the gunship in a few seconds. It was gloriously simple.

I don't know why we don't do that every time. I've been thinking for ages that it would make more sense, but nobody ever does it that way.

WAR said right off the bat that they're farming glams too and specifically looking for tank gloves and healer shoes. WHM nods to their request, RDM said they want DRG stuffs, and I said "sure" to both of their requests, as I was looking for other stuffs.

First boss dropped healer shoes and WAR again asked the party to have it. Both WHM and I passed, but RDM ended up taking the shoes for some reason. We all went quiet afterwards, but this RDM now has my attention for being unsportsmanlike and I don't like this kind of person. Yet I said nothing because it was their right to roll after all. Second boss dropped DRG helmet and RDM immediately said to the party to let them have it. Honestly I rolled just out of spite (I don't even have a DRG), but decided to pass afterwards because it was the right thing to do.

At the final boss, I got into DPS tunnel vision and ended up being meme BLM (not moving out of leyline in order to avoid damage). Unfortunately WHM didn't heal me fast enough so I died, but this death was 100% my fault for not doing proper mechanics. Of course, RDM just had to say things like "BLACK mages are only 13% of the population but commits 73% of all crimes. Why is that?". Not only this remark rubbed me off the wrong way for a reason I'd rather not talk about on the forum, but they made up stats out of thin air just to... I dunno what they were trying to achieve. Shame me? I already knew I screwed up so it was just a white noise to me. Funny thing is, they were busy typing and ended up dying themselves. I simply replied to their remark: "too busy typing I guess". They went on again but I ignored it as the fight was over and healer coat dropped so WAR and WHM were having their own conversation.

I've done more than 3k runs in this game and the majority of them were uneventful, but this one stood out for leaving a bad taste in my mouth. At least now my caster and MCH glams are complete, I especially like the latter
That is an example of someone you ABSOLUTELY SHOULD report to a GM. Don't need ppl like that in the game.

So this happened the other night. I was running with my alt and 2 other people, and we decided to do O12N. We queue up normally, wait for a bit, instance dungeon window pops, we all accept. Upon zoning in, we all noticed something amiss: We had the normal party composition, but we also had a PLD... and a GLD. So everyone turns against him, wondering if we could vote kick him and whanot, which it's impossible to do if the instance just started. As you can imagine, a GLD doesn't have tank or DPS stance, doesn't have ANY skills from level 50+.

Since the fight requires 2 tanks normally... having this GLD was already a recipe for disaster. I don't know why the guy decided to stay, if you see you screwed it up, why not be respectful towards the group and click that leave button? So was that a troll? I don't know why the MT said "Let's do it. I swear this community supports bad behaviors quite often! The guy was only spamming Savage Blade. Nothing else. No combo, no nothing. His movements were erratic, he wasn't very good at mechanics either.

So, after a while, we got to the part where they split. Omega-M uses Passage of Arms and Omega-F starts casting. We kill both as usual. The GLD gets the "bad" circle and other guy gets the stack marker. The GLD followed us and stacked the "bad" with the "stack". Wipe. Kicked him. -.- Most of the party, except for one guy that said "oof" remained silent. Sigh...

I want to bet they're probably trolling cuz there is no way they wouldnt equip their job crystal which for ARR jobs are obtained at Level 30 after doing the assigned job quest for that level cuz without the job crystal they're basically denied more than 50% of the essential skills a tank would need at later levels.

They can't be this stupid either which is safe to bet that they unequipped the job crystal on purpose and queued just to ruin people's day

Trust me I've met troll tanks before and this behavior isnt by any means new....They.Are.The.Worst

Doing PotD on my alt so that I don’t have to tank Toto-Rak (because, ugh), and I get a healer on Floors 41-50 (comp is MRD/MRD/GLA/AST) who barely healed, never touched their cards, let myself and a GLA die twice apiece. And when they continued to get hit by Edda’s mechanics, another party member told them to “please look away from Cold Feet” and we were told that we were “bossy and rude” for telling the person to stop getting hit by things.

And here I was thinking of trying to give them advice, because they said they were still learning AST. But considering when I told them that they can Esuna the Disease from players so that they don’t get hit by AOEs, I was told “you should actually play healer”.

    I do, my dude.

EDIT: Just going to add to this: had a BLM in Floor 91-100 who lost their mind that two of the players (myself included) were classes and not jobs. They made a big deal about it, saying that we needed to “go back and get job stones before doing PotD” and that PotD isn’t for classes and that now they’ll never get to HoH (though, I’m pretty sure you only have to do floors 1~50 and have a level 61 job? But I could be wrong; it’s been a while). The SMN helped with tank carbuncle, but then at the end was like “you’re welcome for the carry, none of you are getting my commendation”.

Like, okay? Oh no... I’m not getting your virtual internet point. Whatever shall I do. However shall I go on in life. I just find it hilarious when people try to hold comms over your head like they’re actually important.

I wish i could ask the healer that decided to leave duty in th lvl 70 dungeon yesterday, after the first pull of 3 groups of trash mobs.

I guess it was because killing it took so long, and the black mage didnt even used his AOE skills that he decided to left it. I dont mind him, i probably understand why he has left us, but im still curious. So we waited for healer, start doing it, it wasnt all that bad but it wasnt smooth either, we had 2 gray dps that were like 9 and 12 and the healer was also gray but i guess its normal in this circumstance, and me on green since i was on tank stance all the time and was fighting with enmity holding in trash pull because BM obviously never used his enmity skills, so i was focused to 1-2-3 combo the mobs he was damaging, no idea why i was losing aggro.
A little funny thing, because i would not have thought that some people could have such a short temper, make me thinking why do they even start doing the roulletes in the first place.

Two Stories for today,a funny one and a not-so-funny one.

Story #1:So today I went into a o8s farm party to get some diamond armor for my coming uwu attempts later in the month.I went in as a Red Mage with 2 other RDMs with me.Things seem all well and good until we rolled,I got both an armor AND a coffer for my BRD since that was my main job and then the PF guy starts getting salty a bit, they tell me to pass the coffer next time...and so i did after that,I passed the coffer then rolled for the RDM armor that dropped which btw no one on the party ever spoke up about wanting it,I roll I get the armor for my RDM then I get kicked out for doing so.

Normally I'd be upset with kicks but I ended up laughing my ass off for all the salt that poured which is enough to put The Loch's saltery to shame.I was fully willing to stay for a few runs and pass on everything since I got what I wanted from o8s and heck I would've stayed for 10 more runs to get the achievement but nope I get kicked cuz I dared to roll with everyone when the person in charge of the PF never made their intention clear neither in pf nor in party until people started rolling

Story #2:I cleared o10s a few days ago so this isn't a big issue for me but I feel bad for my FC PLD friend since I opened a pf to get a clear for him.

What we got is the most infurating Dark Knight I've ever seen in this entire game

Normally on most parties I find the MT keeps their tank stance up till they feel like it's safe to DPS so they'd switch to DPS stance. This Dark Knight however doesnt even put Tank Stance up.He only activates it to cast unmend for the pull and then immediately turns it off....causing him to lose aggro to healers and DPS a lot.

It doesn't help that two of the DPS were samurais and were forced to pop up their diversions early with how constantly the DRK was losing aggro so as u could imagine,Midgardsormr was spinning around like a record disc causing him to do the spin/flip while he's looking at the corner completely messing up the parties placements.

It doesn't help that when the tank swap happens he doesn't pop grit back up to pick aggro away from my PLD friend so he ended up dying cuz he got the flying debuff and the DRK just won't pick up aggro(he doesn't even provoke) which lead to,as u expect, big daddy drgn mowing us down one by one while the DRK is sitting there with grit off worrying about their precious DPS uptime as they dont even dodge the blasts from spin/flip which led the DRK to have two vulns up stacks

Worse yet the healers rarely bothered to shield the party so we ended up wiping on midgard's ultimate when it isn't even 70% charged on aether

Overall the run was a complete disaster and it doesn't help that the DRK claims that he cleared this(which he probably did but not as a tank) and be like "GRRR DON'T TEACH ME ABOUT MY ROLE WHEN U R NOT TANKING" before leaving

correct me if im wrong please cuz I want any tank expert, especially dark knights, to tell me if they ever did drop Tank stance while MTing on anywhere during trials and raids except downtime on bosses where they're not tankbusting/auto-attacking......cuz almost all tanks I saw up to this point always have tank stance up when they MT and only proceeds to drop it during either downtime, tankswap or tight dps checks.Cuz this Dark Knight is an enigma that will continue to elludes me with how utterly bad he was.

I'm not the best DRK by any means but at the very least when I aggro a boss on trials or raids I won't let go of aggro unless the boss demands a tank swap or if I needed to DPS during downtime/dps checks
