I'm so used to letting the party leader dictate who stays and who leaves in a dungeon that I keep forgetting that. Then again I usually don't have the 'bot found' issue of running dungeons until recently.
Did some more Tsuyo runs, was having 'Farm parties' that don't really meet the expectation of performance one would have with the intent to farm. I swear she's like SB's version of Sephirot 'farming.' Tired, I made my own pf and recruited 7 really great players and we did runs for an hour or so. Regretfully, I didn't get the mount, nor did one even drop, -but- I DID get her card... 3 times in fact haha. 229 now bois![]()
Roulette taught me that Alpha 3.0 normal is still imminent doom.
I was the MT and basically most things that could go wrong did. Level checker went fine both attempts but despite having 4 melee and 4 ranged one of the ranged decided they wanted to be melee too and left one circle unattended. We got damage down but that was about it. You can probably guess why this is a story at all. Seems a lot of people still haven't gotten larboard starboard down because half of our party, 3 dps and one healer, could not stay alive at all. Despite the large amount of death the second attempt we finally cleared it with one LB3 (healer didnt want to deal with 4 dead people and I can't say I blame them).
Also shout out to the red mage who decided standing on me, the MT, was a good idea during mustard bomb and getting himself killed.
Now that was some therapy wow, 2019 is looking better already.
Seeing Aerial Blast AND the dash in ShinEx in 4.4.

Party leader being like “But we cleared before with just fine damage!” while the BRD and the DRG are 4,000 DPS above the NIN and 2,000 above everyone else. When the WHM is doing more damage than two of the DPS and both tanks. No, honey... you guys were carried by the BRD, DRG, and WHM.
Well, 21 more runs to go...
Can’t seem to win this mount.
I got Bismarck normal for trial roulette yesterday. To start: one tank walked off the edge. Then, the RDM, despite two requests over the fight, did not at any point try to get on Bismarck's back. We had wiped the first time due to there being only one tank for the worms - I tried to hold one as bard and I would have managed if the healers had actually like.. healed. So the 2nd worm quickly ate through the DPS, the DPS check failed.
RDM pipes in chat asking what happened. I explained DPS check failed, that we have to stand on his back to deal damage, not get knocked off etc.
Take 2: 2nd tank survives this time. RDM, despite another 2 requests, still does not get on Bismarck's back. The shell took 2 two turns - on the second turn, the RDM appeared to finally notice the messages and tried to walk on his back as he shook everyone else off and fell to their death. Finally managed the DPS check and cleared corona in one go with the LB3 from the dragoon.
I really think sometimes that people get so complacent doing the unsync'd EX versions that when they get thrown back into synced Hard they forget how to do the trials. Like, the 2nd tank who just walked off the edge was at level but they already had several jobs at 70. I was the only one who remembered you have to manually activate the island generator.
The RDM was new but still. Four times me and someone else told them to get on the back of the whale.

I've got the burn in ex roulette and the last boss was just a pain to do. The tank and the other dps were in iceblocks literally everytime it was possible, they didn't dodge and stayed in the icepuddles which ended up with me raising them several times.
I really don't expect perfect runs but god damn move your butt out of avoidable stuff. -.-
Guess Cid should have taken a cue from Kingdom Hearts 2 and yelled "GET UP ON THE BISMARCK'S BACK!!" several dozen times :PI got Bismarck normal for trial roulette yesterday. Question, I always thought PLD was main tank and warrior was always an off tank due to its higher dps. Also what's the dps rotation for war? I'm still learning it. Please help.
PLD gets a lot of benefits out of tanking long periods of time due to getting to proc shield swipe + passive blocking, but they are horrible at pulling. WAR and DRK can generate like 10x as much aggro on the opener as PLD can, so WAR often pulls. In a more controlled setting the PLD would voke + you shirk to let them take control, but in the DF which tank is the "main" usually comes down to whoever -wants- to main tank.
Whoever main tanks doesn't matter as much in the end however, since both tanks will ideally be in their dps stances soon after the pull takes place and enmity is secured anyway. In a raid/extreme primal/ultimate setting, you'd have whichever tank has the best mitigation to deal with upcoming tankbusters/mechanics main tanking.
As far as WAR, you make sure Eye is up at all times, use Path combo when eye is good, Fell Cleave at high amounts of gauge, Infuriate off CD for extra Fell Cleaves. If Inner Release is up, make sure Eye has a decent timer still on it (>17 seconds) then pop IR in the later half of your GCD's "cooldown period" (The black little swipe it does across your GCD buttons) then use Fell Cleave 5x in a row, with upheaval + onslaught weaved in. If you can't hit 5x FC, you need more skillspeed, or need to press IR later in between your GCDs.
There's more nuances to it especially if you're trying to line up for raid buffs or min/maxing damage, but that's a general overview of the dps rotation.
