Just got out of a temple of the fist where a BRD didn't do *anything* but single target poison on one single enemy and refused to use songs.
A mentor.
I've never even seen things like this prior to hitting level cap and endgame dungeons. It's almost every day now.
Oof.

Oh yeah, and to kick it off they wouldn't use any role actions even though the DPS that was awake was consistently out of TP from AoEs even after invigorate.

So I just finished SB recently, and I've noticed that it seems incredibly commonplace now for people to immediately leave dungeon queues as soon as they see someone is new to an instance at the start of a run, or tanks that just leave 5 minutes after a dungeon starts if they feel people aren't clearing enough.

More of just a general vent, but this makes me really wish they would increase the penalty for people ditching dungeons early on like this.

I mean...Don't stand behind me ! It's a dangerous place okay !? I don't know why but lately people have been doing that and it's getting on my nerves.

I admit to doing this on occasion, but it's usually a complete accident. ; u; As soon as I have a moment to move away, I try to - or at the least, stand quite a far ways away behind the tank, so that any cleaves won't hit me until I can actually move elsewhere.

When that happens to me and the player in question dies as a result i just use the /laugh emote at them.
As in, i laugh at their stupidity.

They tend to get pretty angry about it, complete with screams about "BAD TANK! A GOOD TANK WOULD NOT HAVE LET ME DIE!" completely ignoring that it was their choice to stand in the cleaves and AOE's and that i was actively trying to turn the enemies away from them.

They deserve to be laughed at.

Happened in Rabanastre to me yesterday. I don't know what it is but some players just gravitate to the front of the boss, maybe they're playing with the camera zoomed in or something? We were on Hashmal and he does a tank cleave that can one shot squishies easily. I see a bunch of people drawn to me like magnets (it was like 4 players, the other 19 were behind it), so I put the mark (the red avoid one) and they still don't move, then they get 1 shot by rock cutter. If I turned the boss I would have just gotten other people killed and screwed up the melee. Beats me why people do that.

I had a rather interesting Gubal normal run today. I was DRK. My teammates were a WHM, SAM, and MCH. One of them was new.

During the first boss, I explained the mechanics of dodging things at all costs and going behind the boss before he finishes casting "Disclosure". The healer did neither and her HP dropped to 0 after Disclosure was cast. It was me and the other 2 dps. We had no one to res healer. However, we dodged all aoes and attacked with great DPS. Unfortunately, the MCH forgot to dodge the next Disclosure. It's me and the SAM. The SAM eventually got knocked out. The boss had 10-15 percent life left. So I did my best to survive and eventually beat the first boss. The healer was clearly new to the instance, despite having a level 60 PLD as well.

The other interesting part is the last boss. I explained the boss mechanics as usual (dodge aoes, going in lit circles, etc.) When the fight began, the healer was targeted with a pulsing orb aoe and forgot to get away from it. The healer's HP dropped to zero early on in the battle. We had no healer pretty much the whole fight. However, because we had great dps, followed mechanics, and dodged each aoe, we actually beat the last boss without having a healer most of the time, with both DPS and myself still alive for the entire battle.

I also used defensive cooldowns, HQ Max-Potions I got cheap over the MB, and used Sprint when I need to run/dodge from attacks real fast.

I got all 3 player commendations in the end. I gave my commendation to the MCH because the SAM that lived longer during the first boss fight did not stay long enough to receive it during the loot roll.

I had a pretty annoying dungeon run, I got Siren song sea,I was white mage. There was a dark knight, a red mage, and a bard, the red mage stood in every aoe and died at least five times.When he died in the 2nd boss room, I was waiting for swift cast to revive him once again, so swift cast cool down is over, I use it and raise, and he ignored my raise and remained dead. Then the bard decided to yell "revive the dps healer". The red mage eventually accepted raise, then later died to adds as usual. Then the bard said "Tank pull smaller this healer keeps letting the red mage die" We finally cleared what makes it worse is, the bard I'm talking about was a Kirito clone.Rant over
