Oh I have a good one. Got home, got into static discord, and discovered my three teammates were in Fractal. One of them, knowing I'm pushing my last mentor roulettes, told me immediately not to queue. "Why," I said warily.
Turns out when they queued for EX they got a tank who did an extremely messy second pull. Aggro was all over the place. My static leader asked him to get his act together. (To be fair I don't think he used the word "act.")
Tank proceeds to passive aggressively lead them to the first boss and tell them to go ahead, since they're such great big dps. And proceeds to not pull it. He sits down and has a tantrum. Not sure how they handled the first boss but he force dc'd during the loot roll. Then he came back and asked them if "they needed another time out."
So they kicked him, I joined in progress, we smashed the rest of the dungeon. Apparently at one point he told them to eff off because our RDM was in the middle of reporting him when I loaded in.
I can't help but feel really embarrassed and like this nonsense is my fault.
Like it's been said, humor is subjective. Maybe Moro and I have very different senses of humor. Maybe I just can't see it as funny because I've seen situations like that play out before. Maybe it's a delivery issue and the fact that I don't know Moro at all, and that it's hard to convey emotion (particularly sarcasm) via text. Maybe all of the above. I've definitely told my fair share of jokes that weren't well received, even here on the OF. But that's alright. Everyone is a little different and everyone views things a little differently. That's what causes us to have such varying opinions, interesting discussions, and unique experiences.
However, I think most of us can agree that this topic has overstayed its welcome and gone a lot further than it ever should have.
I also want to apologize specifically to Moro. I did not expect my blunt replies to cause such a stir and it definitely wasn't my intention to bring any animosity to you. I am very, very sorry.

And I wonder why the official forums have such a bad reputation. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I think I finally figured out why I lurk this place way less... A shame, because there's a lot of people here I'd love to run dungeons or trials with sometime.
The incoming wave of Ridorana stories next week will surely clean up this mess in time lol

I don't know. I'm inclined to believe that XIV GameFAQ's and XIV Reddit has much worse reputations sometimes. And I wonder why the official forums have such a bad reputation. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I think I finally figured out why I lurk this place way less... In one of my Expert Roulette Hell's Lid run as Rokku Sigma, I had a red mage with full i230 gear except weapon. The weapon was the i270 Augmented Shire Weapon. That person was lucky myself and the others were geared to the teeth. Naturally as an Astrologian, I fed all of the Balances and Spears to the Ninja, with the Arrow and Bole to the Warrior. The Red Mage just got a Spire in the last fight.

Patch should be online around 5-6am(EST) tuesday. My guess is that the first horror story is posted before noon. The devs said that they think all the bosses are approx Hashbrowns difficulty, and he was the worst when Rabanasty thing was new. Lately, most of the wipes ive seen have been to Rofo or Mateus. Which is different. Also had a lvl 70 roulette the other day(pretty sure it was kugane) with a SAM that didnt use any AoEs for the entire dungeon. So that was fun.
So, this one time I came into the Tales of the Duty Finder thread and found a soap opera...
The threads on the healer forum about that set "enough" at "more than zero". There has literally never been a post suggesting healers are required to do 80% of a DPSers DPS. The title of one of the largest threads was literally "Dear healers who don't DPS". If you're doing 25% of a DPSers DPS, you're doing far more than 0%.
No it's not, and yes you are. If you say "60%-80%" when the actual demand is "1%-33%", you're extremely wrong. Saying "oh, numbers don't actually matter" doesn't make it true.So when I say the community expects them to do 60-80% of the DPS... I'm not wrong... even if that number is not actually reachable, the demand is there.
If you're advocating a game design change so that more tanking and healing is required, that's a different thing. The game we have right now doesn't require it.This really isn't helped by the game design encouraging this mentality. The tanks here are seriously soft. I didn't reference the Brute from City of Villains by accident. The tanks here really don't handle incoming damage very well at all compared to other trinity games. And the healers don't have the same level of throughput for healing - there's better AoE and lesser single focused healing than in games that have raid sizes of 20-40 people - because there is more widespread damage here and less 'tank busting' damage.
The prevailing demand on healers is "don't stand around doing nothing." Doing nothing isn't helping you heal, so this is just plain wrong. What's curious is the community spends so much effort demanding more DPS out of tanks and healers in one set of forums, and then comes here and complains when those same said tanks and healers try to meet that demand, and, as your numbers note, fail to do it but, as the complaints note - also end up failing at their intended role...

While leveling my RDM I encountered the same issue. One thing you can do to help mitigate this is to tab target to a new mob mid cast. This way one mob gets hit by the initial hit, the second gets hit by the dual cast rather than a single one taking a huge dump of enmity/damage. It's a habit I picked up from tanking where I consistently shift combo's between mobs to ensure an even spread of enmity. My goal is to use flash exactly 0 times if possible, because I think it's a joke skill.
How... How does one not update their gear by that point?? Also, I thought that dungeon had a min. ilvl of at least 310, unless I'm remembering wrong. In one of my Expert Roulette Hell's Lid run as Rokku Sigma, I had a red mage with full i230 gear except weapon. The weapon was the i270 Augmented Shire Weapon. That person was lucky myself and the others were geared to the teeth.
