That's almost exactly what happened lol. It took me a second to realize what had happened because I just push Surecast and then ignore the knockback, so initially I thought maybe I forgot to heal or something.

And if id been off in a corner somewhere id have understood a little more. I ran maybe 10 steps into the room and was standing directly behind the boss and roughly 2-4 steps toward what should have been the safe side for that first haircut. Then the tank turns her 90 degrees at the last second and everything "behind" her is now in the middle of the attack. I popped sprint and tried to make it out. I either reacted too slow or was standing too far back(im a BLM as soon as i get in range i tend to go into turret mode - as the fight goes on you adjust position during insta-casts... this time i didnt get to the "as the fight goes on" portion). Attack hits, and i die after 2 bleed ticks(only on one or two occasions have i seen a healer save me after accidentally eating one of these so i really do try my best to know where not to stand). Ok. All of that sucks, but its in the expected range for "rough start to a fight". But i died in the middle of the arena. I was literally one step away from her bubble during the add phase in the direction of the entrance. I know i was in res range for most of the fight. I was almost wondering if the healers in my group were offended that i was explaining mechs via alliance shout, because i know i saw them toss a few reses at players who screwed up repeatedly. Im not a mentor, but if i know what im talking about im more then willing to explain a couple things. The two healers who carried the raid, they mostly just took care of their group and raised the healers from the other alliances again and again in the hopes that it would make a difference. We did win, but to me it didnt feel all that much like victory. Some healers won't even use their rez casts unless they are on swiftcast, as it otherwise takes 8 seconds. So during raids you'd assume that one of the other healers should have swiftcast up, but if you spent the entire time on the floor, well that's probably tunnelvision if they made no effort to find you.
I did a sigma 1 savage run on Astrologian in Nocturnal Sect and it was horrible. :P
I just felt helpless at times, because I found the shields weren’t strong enough and had no emergency aoe heal like Scholar or White Mage, plus everything seemed to take ages to cast. I think the poor white mage on the group did most of the healing.
The dome or earthly star is ok, but though when you have to be running around dodging mechanics a lot.
At one point I got dragged into the carriage and it took agggggessss to kill the ghost.
I then later went back on Scholar and found it much easier (fairy + the emergency aoe heal Scholar has)![]()
On a different note; I don't mind getting no commendation, but to me it is the worst feeling when I get all and am only able to give 1 back when everyone was really nice. I try to leave asap after giving mine so they give it to each other..
It feels so awkward choosing one person and then seeing that, I always wonder if they feel bad for not getting one or think that nobody appreciated them.![]()
I always feel bad about that too. I will normally try and type a quick apology for only having one comm.On a different note; I don't mind getting no commendation, but to me it is the worst feeling when I get all and am only able to give 1 back when everyone was really nice. On the plus (?) side, the runs where I actually want to comm more than one person seem to be rare. Not that I'm getting bad parties, but most are just normal runs where one comm is fine.
It is rare that I'm even able to get a commendation out being on a ps4 controller. That touch pad is super hard to navigate efficiently and by the time I click on someones name everyone leaves. Stick around for like 5 seconds longer to give us ps4 peeps time to look through loot and give out commends!!!!I always feel bad about that too. Click the touch pad until you get the Commendation box selected, then hit X, use the D-pad to go to the name you want to commend. It is rare that I'm even able to get a commendation out being on a ps4 controller. I relate so hard to this. The touchpad is so awful, and when I try to "click" something on it it'll sometimes move the cursor ever so slightly off the icon I'm trying to press, just enough to force me to reposition it and try again... Thankfully I at least have a wireless keyboard, if nothing else.It is rare that I'm even able to get a commendation out being on a ps4 controller. Ill have to try to commit to memory how many touches it takes to get to the commendation box. I tried this once and it selected everything else on the screen other than the commendation box.
If you have nothing else selected, it should be 2 or 3. First one, for me at least, goes to the chat box, second I believe is loot/commendation/ready check(D-pad to select any other one there) - possibly third. I think the 4th one is your buff/debuff bar.
