Got The Great Gubal Library on a roulette, and my RDM kept pulling boss hate from the DRK. How weird is that?

Ugh... Yet another Emanation run with a DPS who doesn't know what a duty action is begging for a raise after failing Vril mechanics 3+ times. The healers left you on the floor for a reason. You're nothing but a liability who's looking to get carried and not worth the MP to raise every 60 seconds.
I'm level 68 WAR now and I'm losing the will to live.
Doma Castle - a MCH that hasn't heard of Gauss Barrel and a NIN that's never heard of Huton or Death Blossom. Speedpulls go about as well as you expect, I run out of cooldowns and die.
SCH: "You're not a good enough tank to take all those mobs."
Me: "Well shit, better find a replacement that is then."
Promptly booted to abuse from the NIN, but, that was generally quite satisfying.
Moral of the story: Don't blame the tank for your terrible DPS.
You're good at the game? You're an elitist.
You're using a parser to better yourself? Elitist.
You're making suggestions on how someone can improve themselves? E l i t i s t.
You wipe a farm party constantly but you're having fun playing your way. Nah you're fine dude.
This community astounds me at times.
While there's no excuse for people being abusive, if the group isn't capable of doing speed pulls... don't do speed pulls. If you decide you're going to do it anyway with three other people that can't handle it and it goes wrong, that's on you.I'm level 68 WAR now and I'm losing the will to live.

It's levelling roulette, the ability of people you get in it will vary wildly.

While a fair point to make, you kinda missed the point of my rant. While there's no excuse for people being abusive, if the group isn't capable of doing speed pulls... don't do speed pulls. My point is that when I do that first pull in Doma Castle up to the spiders, it's taken so long that I've used all of my cooldowns, in succession, with no overlap (so a good, what, minute, minute and a half) and there are still enough mobs alive to tear me a second butthole. This isn't a situation where I go in gung-ho on a massive bunch of mobs wall to wall in a levelling dungeon (because that never goes well) and fall flat on my ass in 5 seconds flat. I'm not an idiot.
In this situation where it's more along the lines of "how in the hell are these not dead yet?" I find it mind boggling the first person the healer blames is the tank and the DPS decide to give me verbal abuse instead of, y'know, doing a bloody AOE rotation.
i've been reading this thread for awhile now, and now i've finally got a story to contribute with.
So Fractal hard, i Q'd as NIN, and got one hell of DRK ...
the guy must have been deadly allergic to using grit, i dont mind this so much on tanks cause of shadewalker and smokescreen but he never used it once in the entire dungeon ... and then had the nerve to call out the DPS whenever he lost enmity on the trashpulls between bosses !
luckily we had a WHM with us and a SMN so the AOE dps was on point but still ..
i thought these guys were just a legend ...

I've seen a couple tanks try that and fail miserably. Not just DRKs either. Had a WAR try to full-time Deliverance once. You'd think they'd try and do something to re-establish aggro when the entire enemy list has green icons, but nope. They're too concerned about their parse to care about proper tanking.
This grinds my gears so much...I've seen a couple tanks try that and fail miserably. Not just DRKs either. Had a WAR try to full-time Deliverance once. I must admit, my general approach is Shield Oath through trash (I aren't confident enough to try and Sword Oath trash), and on bosses I start in Shield Oath, do 2-3 Rage of Halone (enmity) combos, then swap to Sword Oath and start pumping out the damage. But if I see myself losing aggro, I immediately work to try and rebuild aggro. If you accidentally rip hate off me, I tend to just think "Oops, I didn't manage that enemy very well" and blame myself, rather than the others.
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
To the "mentor" DPS who went through Bardam's Mettle with my (real life) sister the other night:
Not everyone who only has one class has used a jump potion. Yes, she only has WHM because that is what she started playing a few months ago, enjoyed it, and wanted to stick with it through the whole story rather than level other classes and maybe not do as well with all of them. That's her choice. I realize that it looks suspicious for a jumper, but not everyone with just one class has used potions to get to lvl 70.
Furthermore, you have all healers and tanks at lvl 70. Rather than insulting her throughout the dungeon and at the end as well, along with accusing her of using a potion, you could have taken the same amount of time and given her a few pointers after she told you she had only done that dungeon once before and wasn't very familiar with it (in fact, she said right at the start "I'm not very familiar with this place, can we do small pulls please?" to which the tank obliged, good on them!). No one died, there were no wipes (although she failed one of the trials on the second boss but seriously, does that even really matter?).
You are, unfortunately, one of the stains on this community which is otherwise extremely pleasant to be a part of and while I don't condone insulting names, I'd be hard-pressed to say that the other party members were wrong in calling you a nasty name when you left after (again) insulting her on her healing.
I'd like to say that I can only hope you and I are in a party together one day, but the chances of that are probably very slim. I feel sorry for the truly bad healers you end up partied with.
I realize they should have just vote kicked the DPS out, but my sister didn't feel comfortable starting a vote dismissal because she's a bit shy sometimes.
