I don’t normally tank, only if I’m doing it for a friend or if I get really bored. Turned out today I was really bored and decided to queue for leveling roulette. Got into Sastasha normal, but it seemed the first tank had left. Maybe it was because Sastasha?
We got past the first boss okay, but I noticed my HP dropping dangerously low, even though I was using cooldowns. Almost died a few times, but the healer was quicker. Then I decided to check the healer gear, to my surprise they had no belt and a bunch of DoL gear. Since Sastasha is quite easy, there was no wipes, but god... don’t people check their gear before queuing?

super tired and frustrated at the fact people can't competently farm v2s despite making the pf "duty complete", setting ilvl at 330 AND practically begging for people to know their stuff. ik it's not me; i can confidently say i know what i'm doing, i can perform well and keep up to pace so WHY??? why can't i find people that do too??? and what's worse is people literally leave after two wipes and i just give up for the next couple of days bc ik it'll just be a repeat of the same old crap. i honestly just want to enjoy farming like everyone else but that's probably... not going to happen. :'))) /rant

Perhaps a new player who doesn't understand the importance of secondary stats on equipment, and just picked things that looked nice? (Which is pretty limited at that early stage in the game, given the awful dye colours on most things from the vendors.) Hall of the Novice reward gear should solve that before they reach dungeons, but I was certainly going into the early guildhests (as a DPS) with my level-1 blouse and the least-ugly pants I could equip. It seemed to be working well enough for solo play.

Frustrating experience with a tank in Copperbell Mines today. I was playing as healer (actually my very first dungeon as astrologian, but you don't have any specific abilities at that level). The tank was in Lv50 mythrite armour, so that's an estimate of where they actually are in the game.

The first room started as normal until suddenly the bard was taking massive damage and the tank was not. Saved them, moved on to the lift... Realised the tank was standing motionless back in the room. No disconnect icon, just not moving. After a minute they came back and we continued.

Second issue came up in the ichorous ire fight - first bomb went fine, second bomb killed the tank, so I started casting Ascend (no Swiftcast yet, but I have a macro saying I'm casting) and by the time the spell was ready the tank had warped back to the start of the dungeon instead.

Third... in the river tunnels, where you fight some monsters and then a giant shows up? The tank had already run off to the next mob and the giant went after me instead - as did half the other mob when I ran over to them. (Am I imagining it or does Lucid Dreaming bring *more* enemies onto an astrologian? I seem to be having trouble with it today.) Most stressful part of the dungeon.

Final boss went okay, but it moved over to start digging at the second wall where the stone servants go. I've never seen it do that in all the times I've played so far. Is that about the tank not having enough of its attention to override its default instinct to dig at the boulders? What happens if they actually break through that second one?

Thank you, Tank and Black Mage for taking the lift before the rest of us could get there. It was nice to waste that 20-30 seconds on your pointless derp after waiting almost 30 mins on the que.

And thanks again for getting salty when I decided that you were so OP that you could carry me. Because it's not like Praetorium can be run with a LIGHT PARTY at this point. I mean, obviously you don't care about getting through the duty quickly and I might break a nail if I smack Nero with my sword. And that's certainly not what I came to do.

And after I proved my point about how wasting time sucks and got back to actually finishing the Duty (pointless to let the party suffer--even if it wasn't actually), it was so nice how you emote spammed me. And your little quip about 'how its better when we all work together?' inspired me to go burn the fuck out of Exdeath. So thanks for that.

That might have been it, I guess. Imho still not enough a good reason for any actual complaining, but boss fights don't strain a healer's MP nearly as much as trash packs do in dungeons, so perhaps they thought it would've been better used after the boss, during the next trash pull (assuming it wasn't last boss).

Again, this isn't something most healers - that I know of - would ever complain about, so all in all just keep tossing out those sweet free manas \o/

I get the same thing all the time - I'm Australian, so on the Japanese server, and I set the duty finder to English only but still end up in lots of parties with three Japanese speakers. Apparently a lot of people just tick all the boxes anyway to get into the dungeon faster.

English player on Jpn server, I select all languages. Can't imagine how slow queues are with just English.

When a player runs with the entire alliance to the next boss but then says "brb" and stands just right outside the arena. Comes back a minute later with "wow couldn't wait" when they're locked out...

Yea ok, d***head! Pretend like you had every intention to participate in this fight too. Ya couldn't inch a little closer into the actual arena to avoid lockout if the fight started before you came back!?

Ah yes, I love these pseudo AFKs mid run. These, and the ones where someone dies at the end of a boss and respawn at the start (presumably so they won't get weakness at the start of the next one), and then take the rest of the run to either catch up, very slowly, or just blatantly don't even bother pretending to care. Or the ones that respawn MID boss, because "sorry, I thought that was a rez", and proceed to sit outside till the fight is over.

Had this one tank a few weeks back that decided the pools and canals right before rofocale were the prime location for /gpose, and cue obligatory wipe because we couldn't deal with the add without a tank while avoiding the cleaves teams A and B failed to turn away from us.

People AFKing in 24 mans because "it doesn't matter anyway" make me want to bash my head against my keyboard so hard the pain will somehow transfer to them.

Yesterday my hubby had to do leveling roulette and we got and the weirdest player we had ever seen.

This player was an archer (we got Sastasha lol) and constantly (and I mean constantly) moving. The movement was unnatural too, it wasn't dodging or whatever, it was almost like he was always trying to position to the furthest spot possible within his range, so if monsters moved (or if there were multiple monsters) he moved, even though there was no need for this as the tank was holding aggro.

By the end we determined he was probably a bot, as it was just so weird. It was definitely not a new player not knowing how to play, it had to be a bot. The movement was just so unnatural.

I felt dizzy just watching him.

Did leveling roulette with me tanking and two FC mates both DPS'ing, and wound up in Sastasha.

The healer had me confused when I noticed all he was doing was spamming Cure spells that were healing for about a fourth or so of what a normal Cure spell should be healing for. I checked him out and noticed that all his gear was level 1 gear: weathered crook, basic glamour items, starter jewelry. He did get better when a WHM weapon dropped for him, and when he said he had just started leveling so he didn't have gear, I told him he could buy gear from a vendor, to which he responded "who does that".

....I wanted to take my DRK sword and mash him to a pulp with it.
