By the time you start doing Holy we should have a solid lead on hate. I've never lost hate to a WHM doing holy. I mean, maybe a tank in dps stance might.
Only if it's a Paladin. Only other scenario that you should be pulling hate off a good tank is if you're well overgeared compared to them (Likewise the only time I've pulled hate as a healer) and you're using Medica II / Regen to help heal the tank (Overheal threat issues)
Well, you gotta be careful who you say something kinda rude to. You're fully entitled to say whatever you want, I'm not against you doing so, but "Use PF if baby wants their way." IS kinda mean. lol I'm with you on the fact that no one should have complained about the time it took for you guys to get through Neverreap though. Less than 30 minutes is ideal.Got Neverep as expert joined as tank got in (this is my 5 day in a row getting this.) started first pull.
Started to loss hate WHM decides to make things go faster by holying everything so much mp loss trying to get it back. Next pull same thing.
After first boss pull next set more holy. Whm asked why I didn't get under healer bubble. Was trying to stack everything because people that caster vanu vanu dose not move even for bird seed also trying to keep hate with all the holy going on. All my MP. LoL
Make it to last boss WHM complained how long it took to get there (took less than 30 min to get to last boss.). So I said use PF if baby wants their way (cause come on who complains about getting there under 30 min). Next thing I know every one jumps off the platform killing themselves. WHM says sucks for you we are a party. I die next thing in kicked.
This is why there's a shortage of tanks in the duty finder.
Protect killed my party.
All four of us jump into the first Tornado in Neverreap and I pull the first two packs of mobs. Partway into the battle the DRG says "Protect." I look at the party list and see I'm the only person with the buff (I cast it on myself as Pld before the Duty began.) Thus, mid-fight I recast the spell, easily within range of the entire party, and continue with the fight. At this point many things happen at once. Our Ninja begins to disconnect, I don't see the Dragoon anywhere, and my HP drops to zero. Let's find out what happened!
I find out the DRG was still standing where the first Tornado flings you. Like he wasn't going to engage in battle until he got his Protect. My Protect misses him because he is so far away from the fight. The WHM, seeing that both DPS were doing absolutely nothing, starts spamming Holy in Cleric Stance. I stop paying attention to the fight when I realize both DPS are missing. The Ninja vanishes from the server like a master shinobi. My HP drops to zero. The White Mage rage quits. And the DRG blames me for running ahead without Protect at the start (even though I was the only person with the buff and the only person to cast it.)
I've never seen a Protect go so horribly wrong before.

oh yeah this one time in AV. BLM was cycling between bliz3 and fire3 only. I gave him some advice on ideal rotation and he told me to stfu because he played blm during XI and you always use your highest tier spells.
That AV took 59 minutes.
While running Bray, I continuously grabbed hate from the tank, who hadn't leveled to Warrior yet. Against Aiatar, I wound up having to tank and heal myself because the Healer couldn't keep up. Talk about learning the game on the fly.![]()
Was tanking Fractal two days ago, no wipes and perfectly smooth clear so far up to the first platform before last boss. Clear that, group goes right and I go left didn't notice they went right so simply waited for them thinking they were just being slow. They for some reason pulled the trash on the right and all died before I could sprint over, told me to wake up and I got an instant kick afterwards...
... Suppose no one ever heard of following the tank, can only imagine it was some Free Company premade.
Running Aurum Vale last night leveling my Scholar. We were at the Coincounter and the Machinist wasn't dodging so he died. The boss was at about 3% and I had just swiftcast resummoned my fairy which had died durring the last Glower. He starts asking us to wipe the boss so he doesn't miss any xp. The Warrior and Monk make short work of the last bit of health and he just goes off on everyone about how he just lost a ton of xp and rage quits.
wait you lose exp if you are dead at the death of the boss?Running Aurum Vale last night leveling my Scholar. We were at the Coincounter and the Machinist wasn't dodging so he died. I was in a pt with this tank who I assume was a troll. He kept sprinting in and pulling all of the mobs he could causing wipes. Not just a large pull but a train. Eventually he started tanking right so we continued on. He would point to dungeon items and doors forcing dds to interact. He said it was below him. He left at start of final boss. He was an elvaan pld.
