Heheh. It's alright. Personally, I don't use AOEs unless 3 adds are grouped together...in the long run, it's a waste of TP if the adds are tanky and one Invigorate isn't enough to keep the AOEs up.

Yeah, same here. The possible extra damage doesn't help if you run out of TP and are reduced to auto-attacking :P
I was doing the math just out of curiosity of which would be stronger if TP wasn't an issue.

Was helping some friends for last minute Savage Clears etc., we went into O3s and the PLD who was with us immediately was in Shield oath. I was on WAR, and we know that it is still even after HW a thing that the WAR pulls for higher dps etc. so it just said to him

Me:" U can go sword oath and full dps mode if u want to etc."

Was about to type some stuff about every now and then tossing a Shirk torwads my direction, he instantly left after the first sentace ive type.

Seriously, how butthurt can people be. "I AM the MT HERE *insert baby rages*"

Huh, I get the opposite. Some WARs, as soon as they see my PLD icon, swap to Deliverance on every 8man ; ; I just tell 'em "I can output more DPS as an OT and support you with busters". Some accept, others say "I don't know how to OT", others send me to hell.

The worst expert roulette morning I've ever had.

4 consecutive queues, 30 min wait on each. Because in every single run, the tank either

A) Didn't want to wait for protect, dies.

B) Didn't want to wait for MP/TP for the DPS, dies

C) Didn't use cooldowns, dies.

It is so fucking agitating, like what the fuck are these tanks in a rush for, I had to sit there and watch as immediately as soon as we start up Kugane Castle, the tank just sprints forward, WHO ARE YOU RUSHING FOR?

Well, those are the idiots who give tanks bad names imo (the ones that tell u "go to hell"or whatever they might say). And TBH, if people have no idea how to MT as a Tank, no matter what tTank , they should consider playing a different job. Majority of people level up tank just for the faster queues and have no clue how to play casue all the did was PotD, it hurts watching as a Tank main. (Since Stormblood i gotta say the amount of awful Tanks has increased in numbers aswell)

The amounts of awful EVERYTHING has increased. While I don't main a tank class, I do have it so that I can help out with tanking stuff if needed. Am I a superb tank? No, but I try and watch what the MT does if I'm not the MT so that I can learn, and take over if need be. Though I tend to do most content for the first time as a DPS, I am still watching for things like tank busters, or anything specific to the tanking process, so that when I do tank it I can react appropriately.

Did Castrum Abania on WHM the other day with a tank that wouldn't stop spinning the mobs. He kept getting me cleaved, but that wasn't the worst part. After the final boss died, he had the audacity to complain to the MNK that their damage was bad. ...yeah.

I had a tank that dropped tank stance and used zero cooldowns during the first boss in there. He legit got punched from 80% to dead without so much as a chance. It was really awkward.

PotD, floor 58. Had a run going pretty well so far, the lancer (yeah, no stone) taking the lead for the most part. I was on SCH, so it was myself, LNC, another SCH, and a WAR.

Anyway, floor 58, and this WAR suddenly pops sprint and runs clean through 3 rooms, one heavily populated with mobs, face pulling everything. He dies snappily at the end of the hall, with all these guys turning on the other SCH, who I make the mistake of lustrating instead of letting her die, so they all start smacking me. Proceed to 3 dead players.

I ask, "Is there a reason you pulled 3 rooms."

"It was a calculated mistake, and I'm bad at math."

Ugh.

Literally at this moment, the lancer finds a miracle rage pomander and proceeds to clear the rooms and start the rez chain to get us up.

"Just be more careful," I say.

Last floor and boss go without a hitch. SCH/WAR bail ASAP.

And yet, I got two comms.... Somehow. So despite the lancer saving the day, she didn't even get them all. :/
