Don't all leveling dungeons drop gear at end now? If it does, run it as mch or brd. Have every skyhunter piece you have in inventory. Not quite a tale in the same vein as most here, but still somewhat relevant.
I've been trying to get the Woad Skyhunter's Armlets from Sohm Al for weeks. Running the dungeon solo as SAM and clearing it easily. Running it with a PF group when I see one.
They haven't dropped once. Not a single time. We're talking over thirty damn runs now. I have three full sets of the warrior gear, two full sets of the caster gear, and three of the same damn MRD weapon.
It's getting to the point where I think they might have been accidentally edited out of the game
Yea, the twin bolt does tether the person that's closest to main tank. It's a single target for both so the damage won't overlap. And even though he does that tail swipe, it's actually not a cleave as it's single target also (I see it in savage all the time, and I haven't seen the tail swipe cleave the off tank). And tanks don't have any positional attacks, so there's no reason to be standing behind the boss.
It makes no difference. The chests almost always drop pieces I already have, and it just says something along the lines of "you already possess one of that unique item" and therefore doesn't give me anything. Already having most of the gear from that dungeon doesn't seem to make it any less likely to drop the gear I already have.
Plus it's a pain in the ass to solo the final boss as Bard. Doing it with SAM is easy though.

You get a piece of gear relevant to the class you're using when you complete the dungeon. It drops in your armory chest after the boss dies, it doesn't come out of a chest. So if you're after a specific piece you should be clearing with a class that can use it.It makes no difference. I got Sunken Temple normal mode for leveling roulette. We had a first-timer sprout healer, who was obviously new, but she wasn't doing anything too awful. We wiped once on the first boss because she didn't go on the glowing platforms, but we cleared it easily the second time after she learned the mechanic. On the second boss, she got comboed late in the fight with the stun attack followed by the room-wide AOE and died, but the rest of us still cleared the boss.
The healer had released before we killed the boss and was on her way back to rejoin the group. However, the tank decided to pull the next trash group before the healer made it back. He died, and it was followed by a "WTF happened?" I calmly explained that the healer died on the 2nd boss and was not yet back with the group. This explanation obviously wasn't good enough for the tank, and a kick vote for being AFK came up. I voted no, but the vote passed and the healer was gone.
I was extremely pissed off. In a rather unpleasant way, I flat out told the tank that it was 100% his fault that he died and that he should have waited for the healer to rejoin the group.
What I did next, I am sure is a rule violation, but honestly I would do it again 100 times as it was extremely satisfying. I got one of my linkshell members to queue in progress into the dungeon as healer. Then we both passed a vote kick on the tank for harassment.
We both then left the run, and we luckily managed to find the kicked healer on our server! She accepted our offer to queue with her again for sunken temple, and we completed the run without incident.
Hopefully the Tank learned something about being considerate to sprouts from the whole experience.

I think you're fine. You kicked someone who technically abused the vote kick and I have no sympathy for the DPS you abandoned (the healer wouldn't have been kicked, otherwise).
All I wanted was a simple, easy 50/60 roulette. I even queued as DRK for it. Saint Mocianne's Arboretum. Great, I thought, this will be over quickly.
Then I saw the WHM's Tetragrammaton land for roughly 4k. When I had 27k+ HP in that dungeon. I checked their gear.
Aery weapon.
Someone give me an appropriate gif, please.

That should cover it. Just...wow.
Can't be worse than the time I had a tank in sohm al hard with a gubal normal weapon. NORMAL.
Suffice to say once I noticed this after a wipe to the first boss he pulled the "then kick me" and a paraphrased version of "You don't pay my sub." I'm cutting the story really short but it basically fell to these key points. We decided to kick him after the first boss (especially since he didn't even attend that fight, sat at the entrance).
