Ugh..

- Enter expert roulette on Astro.
- Get Ala Mhigo
- Finish the first boss, get to the bit with the cannon fire.
- Tank Pulls two packs, all the dogs, and eats a ton of AOE cannon-fire cause he can't see the markers, dies.
- Ask him to just double pull.
- Tank rages out, asks me if I want to wait another 10 minutes in a queue.
- Tell him I got an instant queue.
- Tank rage pulls before I've even got back, no protect, wipes everyone again.
- Blames me for not healing him.
- Check his status, French player.
- Finish the dungeon.
- Queue for 50/60 roulette on paladin.
- Start Arborium
- About to pull first pack, healer regens me, click it off.
- Regen again, click it off, finish the pull.
- Second pack, healer regens me before the pull, explain to him I don't main tank and could he regen after the pull.
- Healer casts medica II, hits regen 3 times.
- Check the healer's status, French player.
- Quit the duty.
- 30 mins later queue for 50/60 again, get Amdapoor hard.
- Party complaining I should pull more, haven't done the instance in ages and I'm a bad tank but ok..
- Get to the boss, dragoon pulls.
- Next boss, dragoon pulls.
- Final boss I pull immediately expecting the dragoon to be a dick, healer and DPS are locked out
- DPS is AFK and I'm a bad tank for pulling immediately.
- Check their status 2/3 french.
- Understand now why there's a shortage of tanks and healers.

Just fucking end me fam.

You ever play RDM, raise 6 people, and top them all off while the healers get MP back, but nobody says anything, or even a "thx", and you leave with 0 comms?

Tank stated this was his first time in this dungeon.

Black Mage proceeded to be the tank and pull everything while the tank was beginning to stress out because he was just getting his foot in this dungeon.

The entire run was like that. Constantly attacking the Tank with trollish comments. It was just an all around bad situation.

I normally do not get involved with childish squabbles like this but I had to speak up and defend the tank while in the party.

No one. NO ONE should EVER treat anyone like that in a video game. It is childish behavior all around.

If you want to mass pull and you're a DPS...then ask the Tank. If the Tank says they are still new at this and never done this dungeon, then do not put on the tank hat and proceed to pull everything. Don't be that person.

I've been trying to hold back my rage about a rather... "special" PLD I got in Trials Roulette 2-3 days ago, but I can't hold back any longer. I have to vent about this.

Trials Roulette sends me and my FC buddy to Lakshmi. Trials Roulette, for whatever reason, tends to NOT send me here, so it's only my 3rd time in the fight. First time as a Tank. (If I get a Stormblood primal in roulette, it's typically always Susano) The barrier vanishes and for about 10 seconds, the PLD just sits there with no oath on. I eventually pop on Grit (leveling DRK now, as I'm done with PLD and have been for quite some time) and go to grab the two adds and establish hate. What happens seconds after I grab the adds? The PLD promptly pops on Shield Oath and starts fighting me for aggro.

Red Flag #1
I can't even begin to tell you how much this ticks me off. If you want to MT over me, let me know before I turn on my own tank stance and pull by popping on yours first.

So once Lakshmi becomes targetable, I turn off Grit since the PLD insists on being in Shield Oath, and I let him MT. Fine by me. I hardly ever get to OT. There comes the problem for me though. I know what to do as MT for this fight, but hardly have any knowledge on what the OT is supposed to do. I quickly figured out that Lakshmi does target the OT for an attack though, and it's bascially the OT's duty to aim that attack away from everyone else. Gotcha. Easy to catch on to.

Lakshmi starts using her AoE attacks that involve the lines, stack markers, and the circle AoE on the party. DPS, while some of them are new, promptly start walking off the edge while trying to avoid the AoE. I'm too busy gawking at the DPS just walking off the edge to really notice how the PLD is fairing. The DPS, thankfully, actually call out their own mistake though on walking off. Typed in a way that couldn't help but make me grin. At least the DPS players are cracking jokes about walking off the edge by accident. "Whelp, I'm stupid, lol." and other similar lines. Heck, one of the DPS that had the stack marker proceeds to walk off the edge, prompting the PLD to say. "Wow." I kinda agree with the PLD on that. It's both a funny and sad way to avoid that marker.

It's at that moment though that I realized I should have been paying more attention to the PLD. I see Lakshmi preparing her Tankbuster on the PLD, and the PLD is sitting there with only half health. Manageable though, as long as he pops a defensive cooldown or two though to migate the damage. Or heck, Clemency.

... ... does any of the following happen? Nope. PLD just eats the attack with no defense buffs activated. PLD dies.

Stunned for a brief moment that the PLD didn't even consider using any defense buffs, nor even Clemency, (He had the freaking MP for it!) I shake off what I just saw and promptly provoke Lakshmi on me. "Huh" says my FC buddy, currently in the duty as a WHM. "I could have swore I Tetra'd him." (Sounds like an honest mistake on his end) But regardless, I get Lakshmi's attention so that she isn't beating on the other healer, while that said healer swift rezs the PLD.

... moments after, I couldn't help but wonder if the said healer should have just left the PLD down. The moment the PLD gets up, he quickly provokes Lakshmi and starts fighting me for aggro. AGAIN. "Sure" I think to myself. "NOW you start using your utility skills!" At this point, it's clear this PLD has the mentality of "I'M the PLD. I'M MT. Always!"

Red Flag #2

I relent again and turn off Grit, going back to OTing Lakshmi off to her side due to that one "Attack the OT!" mechanic I saw earlier in the fight. Then Lakshmi uses her line and circle AoEs again, and I find myself targeted by one of the line AoE's, because too many of the DPS are dead. So I have to make sure said line AoE's that are on me aren't in a direct path to anyone else, because taking multiple line AoE's hurts. The moment I start positioning myself with the others to avoid extra damage, (as I've done this fight before on both DPS and Healer) the PLD blurts out my name stating "Stay to my left!". Nevermind the fact that I'm being targeted by AoE that ISN'T unique to attacking the OT. At this point, I decide to really pay attention to the PLD, as I can't help but have this gut feeling that I'm working with a "lolPLD".

After actually focusing my camera to keep the PLD in view, my own PLD's heart began to sink after just a few seconds of watching him. No defense cooldown use, (Not even Sheltron) and he's spamming the 1-2-3 Rage of Halone combo over and over and over again. (No Goring Blades. No Royal Authorites. No Holy Spirits) I can already hear my own PLD beginning to weep. How can someone know the mechanics of the fight, yet play their own job so poorly?

Red Flag #3

Having reached my third Red Flag with this PLD, I'm beginning to wonder if I should fight him for aggro just so that there's an MT who actually knows how to play their own damn job and use defensive cooldowns against her attacks. I decide not to because I've always hated Tank aggro wars, and I just continue to attack her from the side, which happens to be to the MT's left, breaking off only to help with stack mechanics as they pop up.

No wipes, but the overall run was messy and took awhile to down Lakshmi. DPS were STILL occasionally walking off the edge during those last moments. One of the DPS once again calls out how they walked off a few too many times. My FC buddy agrees by saying "Indeed. Please try not to walk off the edge. So many rezs. @_@" Before I can step out the door though, the PLD insists on halting me by saying "Felicia, a tip."

"Oh, here we go." I thought to myself. "The guy who can't even be bothered to try and actually be a PLD wants to give 'advice'" I decide to humor him though by staying just to see if he actually does offer a good tip about being the OT. What I get... is gibberish. Literally... gibberish talk.

Red Flag #4

Lets see if I got this straight "PLD". First you fight me for aggro after I pull because you were standing there with no oath up for the first 10-15 seconds. Then you proceed to just 1-2-3 the entire time you're the MT with no defense cooldowns at all. The only things you were even doing right was the mechanics of the fight. (What ones the MT has to participate in anyway) And even that can be argued false, as you literally just sat there and took Lakshmi's tankbuster without making ANY effort to migate it. (Again, you had the MP to at least Clemency yourself damn it!) And THEN you decide to fight me for aggro again after I already stepped up to MT Lakshmi after you died, and insist on tanking her while you're weakened! Meanwhile, I'm quite healthy and have yet to die, which I never did in the run, being the next healthy wall to stand between Lakshmi and her tankbusters, which I even prepared for with Shadow Wall when she started casting it on me. But do you let me take it PLD? Nope. You instantly start fighting me for her aggro as she's casting the tankbuster.

And then the final nail in the coffin... you have the nerve to think you did better then me. It may only be my 3rd time against Lakshmi normal and my first time in there as a Tank, but after viewing your "Performance" PLD, you have NO right to even remotely imply you did better then me. I mean ****! I was pushing my OT DPS as hard as I can and actually making use of my gauge. I even stepped in for you when you died so that Lakshmi wouldn't run rampant on the other players! And nevermind the fact that several DPS players had kept walking off the edge for whatever reason. Nope! Nevermind any of that! Singles me out, out of every person he could. And then he speaks in gibberish for his "advice". (Perhaps someone with actual working brain cells on this forum can tell me if there's anything else an OT is supposed to look out for on Lakshmi normal)

3 red flags from me makes me lose all faith in you and proceed to wonder if you should be kicked or not. 4 Red Flags and beyond marks you as someone who's going on my Blacklist, so that we never run future content together ever again. Starting as of that day, my Blacklist cherry has been popped. For the first time ever, I've tossed someone on there. And I don't regret it one bit. Guess I'm going to keep occassionally bumping into things that are strong enough to convince me to vent on here.

Not one particular story, but just about the Feast in general. What is it about PvP that brings the salt? In PvE I'm the one getting people to relax and try again after wipes. Encouraging comments and joking around. But in the Feast, I fully understand why chat was taken away for toxicity. NO ONE ever attacks the healer, they'll smack a tank or DPS a couple time and move on when they don't die, because the healers are in the back healing and being ignored.

What they see must be, "Hey see that SAM with one coin, get him again. Your KDA is going to be huge."

There's no helping these people. You yank a healer into the middle and they ignore it. You Plunge into a healer and they ignore it. You ice jitsu and LB a healer and they fucking ignore it. And we lose. We lose and we lose and we lose. Because there team knows how to play and they kill off the healer. And then they kill me because I'm trying to kill there healer or protect ours.

So yeah, I think I'm done with The Feast. It's bad for my Blood Pressure.

I hate that mentality. When I was doing runs of the 24man HW raids as my PLD, it was always "Why isn't the PLD MT?".

Yes, we have more defensive CDs. But in no way do we HAVE to be the MT. When I ran it as my DRK, I was usually MT because nobody else stepped up to the plate.

just recently got my favorite and first class to 70, dragoon. got it geared semi decent and joined D1 to get my bolt.

thing is I only did this once before, the day it came out, and I healed it.

quick learner but still fuzzy on mechanics. first fire orbs spawn and in still in the center on the bosses ass because positionals. figure I'm relatively reflexive I'll just elusive jump.

Reminds me of running V2/3 for lenses this morning. I noticed a lot PLDs like to enter in Shield. But then they somehow eat it and I don't know how. It happened four times in a row and now every time I'm partnered with a PF PLD in Shield, I'm thinking to myself, " Whelp I better prepare to take over MT duties."

And they're not all bad, I had some awesome PLD. But they don't start in Shield. They look me over before picking a stance. I had one in v3 complement me for grabbing the dragon, which raises a whole nother set of questions. But when all is said and done, I like WARs in DPS stance. Its most likely coincidence, but those are the quickest, smoothest runs.

It was gibberish to the pont of where I was squinting my eyes trying to figure out what he typed. The spelling was really awful. And the grammer. I could only conclude that it was nothing related to any actual tip for how to OT the fight. D:
