Yeah, no, I never attempted to talk to that healer in the story outside of the dungeon nor would I ever do that. That would be harassment to hunt her down over that and I would never do something like that. She wasn't on my server nor would I have attempted to even if she was. All I did was open my Contacts window and blacklist her after the run and the DPS who told me to "drop it" so that I can avoid playing with people like that.

She didn't want my help so I gave up after trying to explain twice that I was trying to be nice and help her and not trying to be mean about it. Gave up, struggled to finish dungeon, and left. Never spoke with her again nor will I ever.

So I was leveling WHM in PoTD for the past few days, to get 60 for my FC in case they needed it but tbh they probably need tanks more. And the amount of DPS that think "oh a healer I don't need to dodge stuff" is astounding. Now if it's a party wide DPS gain for me to heal carry I don't mind but otherwise you're interfering with my DPS for no reason other than you're being lazy. Like, I had a PoTD party yesterday with AST, BRD and DRG. The AST first put Balance on the DRG but after that they just kept giving me Balance and told me that "i'll heal through the pain just don't stop casting".

And then there was this guy in my FC (let's call him Joe) who was leveling WHM as well and he wanted me to do PoTD with him. I said no and he got all butthurt and said "well I didn't want to potd with you anyways". Uh, yeah you did. You just repeatedly asked me. I'm like... have you seen yourself in PoTD? We ran together before with a FC mate who was leveling MNK. And whenever his HP dropped due to a trap, it was me dropping Cleric Stance. When he got pacified and silenced, it was me cleansing him. Joe was sitting there spamming Stone every single time. And not even Stone III! Like, if you see the other WHM casting "Stone III" and you're casting "Stone" maybe just maybe it's stronger? The guy's a SMN main so it shouldn't be a foreign concept to him. What I found out today is he had been watching movies while grinding. And he wiped twice to 60 boss from what he said in FC chat. I was like... you shouldn't wipe to the 60 boss as a WHM with 99/99 aetherpool. I can 100% solo the 60 boss by myself as WHM, so there's no excuse. I was also like, "Really? You're basically asking me to carry you because you can't be bothered to pay attention to your party or what's happening around you." Yeah, no, I'll take my chances with a random person who might put effort in.

TL;DR I don't expect people to be good because I'm definitely not "good". But I expect effort.

potd is one of the things that are easy to learn, hard to master. Can be used by the average Joe to levelup, but only few people have enough brain to reach floor 200.

It has begun, and no AoE threat was held that day. (Except by me, as it turns out RDM with diversion active is a better AoE tank than DRK, who knew?)

Also found the first one of 'those' RDM. He did nothing but hardcast Veraero and Verthunder, and the stone/fire procs. No fleche, no contre sixte, no melee combo, no jolt. Upon being questioned as to why he was hardcasting them, his response was "yes.". About 8 minutes later he followed up with "Because this is best."

So since I couldn't progress in the MSQ, I decided to do some leveling on my low level WHM because the instant dungeon queues are nice.

Got a Brayflox normal run with a SAM and RDM. The tank was a sprout who said she was new to the dungeon.

The RDM DC'd right off the bat, so we made the decision to go until we were able to kick him. So we 3 manned the first boss and got a summoner to replace the RDM right after.

Aside from an accidental wipe from pulling too much, the dungeon went very smoothly and the SAM was giving helpful advice and words of encouragement to the tank the entire time.

I wish I could have given everyone a commendation, but I gave mine to the tank because she did great. And to that SAM, thank you for being so kind and helpful to the tank!

I knew this was going to happen a long time ago, but I still feel the need to say that I would have gladly started the new jobs at level 1, just so I wouldn't have to deal with the new generation of people who don't read anything, least of all quest text or skill tooltips.

Also, this just in: AoEs are still a thing. Please use them.

And I'm not paid to babysit moronic DPS who will call me names for trying to give advice, so I won't.

I had my first "don't bother dps'ing out of Cleric Stance" guy today, made me chuckle.

Groups today otherwise have been... odd, lots of people looking like they're re adjusting to jobs they've played for a long time, including a Warrior that had been pressing his buttons for deleted skills and not noticing them not going off, we all had a laugh about it.

Me and my friends were short one person for MSQ roulette, but since it was only a DPS we figured we'd go.

Cue 10 seconds of confusion during the first mob pull you actually have to defeat - the random DPS we picked up was a newbie sproutling, so we didn't look closer. Then one of us did.
She said 'he's level 61 and in shire gear??', and for 10 seconds all 7 of us stopped. We're all super overtired and barely comprehensible and all; then one realised: "Jump potion". Several 'oh's and 'ah's, and we continue on.

Well, we're all tired. A 100 mana red mage opener just yanked it off my friend despite using diversion, lucid dreaming didn't give Nero back to my friends, the healers were dpsing - suddenly the red mage was the dead mage. At least we all had a good chuckle and I still almost pulled Gaius off both tanks despite the weakness and taking it a bit easier. I think we'd all better. Go to bed early.

So... I might have put "rescue" where I used to have Cleric Stance. Cue me randomly pulling the tank towards me 4/5 times in the first couple of dungeons and having to apologise! :P
Then tanked Baelsar's Wall for the first time with my bf as AST and he used it on me right at the end of the final boss fight >.< confused the hell outta me haha.
Reporting back from a solid Early Access weekend - OMFG everywhere is so pretty RDM is fun, have just unlocked the more interesting new AST skills (lord & lady), well after the floor star thing. Took a few attempts to get that to be useful, aoe around it is a little unforgivingly small :/
No new bad stories as of yet - although I have seen a PF for the latest primal the day after EA started "no bonus know strat" :P
