I addressed that in my edit. Was under the assumption the PLD was using -some- clemency already in that situation, not zero, but then I remembered how little damage that boss does unless you go melding your hitbox with his during the wind sprite section.
Though my point does stand in regards to your '58+ sentence' that post 58, you should reasonably expect a potential wipe if your healer kicks it early enough and its not 64+ content, since PLD's healing ability is severely nerfed compared to post 64.
