Yeah, I was going to just let it slide and move on with my day but the school shooter comment was way over the line.

Domino Dayspring: Your Mom's Favorite Red Mage
That's also why cleansing desease is so important. You can't always get out of the AoEs from the movement speed debuff, and it increases damage taken. Also, the black lung debuff that stacks with it.
It's a bit of a healer check, actually. There simply isn't another role in the game that can cleanse and return to full health in combat at the speed required for that mechanic. Even rez/heal enabled DPS don't have self-cleanses.
Ya done goofed.
While a fair point to make, you kinda missed the point of my rant.
My point is that when I do that first pull in Doma Castle up to the spiders, it's taken so long that I've used all of my cooldowns, in succession, with no overlap (so a good, what, minute, minute and a half) and there are still enough mobs alive to tear me a second butthole. This isn't a situation where I go in gung-ho on a massive bunch of mobs wall to wall in a levelling dungeon (because that never goes well) and fall flat on my ass in 5 seconds flat. I'm not an idiot.
In this situation where it's more along the lines of "how in the hell are these not dead yet?" I find it mind boggling the first person the healer blames is the tank and the DPS decide to give me verbal abuse instead of, y'know, doing a bloody AOE rotation.
Just got done with an amdapor keep hard on my alt as AST, other people were DRK SAM SAM. It started off as can be expected, killing trash, working towards the first boss. Things are dying somewhat slow, especially with two samurai; at that level they should just destroy everything.
Eventually we make it to the first boss, and I get targeted with the marked and I hide behind the statue, that's all good. Then then next one is on one of the samurais. They don't move an inch and get blasted to oblivion. I raise, and it keeps going...slowly. The other samurai gets targeted...and doesn't move, and gets blasted into oblivion. I raise again...and it's still going slowly. Next, the tank gets targeted...and doesn't move, and barely survives..with 6 stacks of vuln up and healing down, so they don't last long after that. I raise again, try to keep myself up, lightspeed aoe heal to get people back in shape, lucid dreaming to try to dump aggro...and still have it. Eventually, down I go, and then the rest of the group. I explain that you hide behind the statue if you get targetted with the red mark, and we try again. The first target is on a samurai...and again, no movement, but it's only 3 hits so they live. The second one is on me, so that was fine, and then the next two are on the samurais. Two raises and an LB later, we manage to clear it.
Now, on to the trash. I rebuff after we zone up, and we start...and nothing is dying. Why is nothing dying? Where did Samurai 1 go? I don't know, but eventually, when the last mob is almost dead, he finds his way back. Seriously, he was there, and we were fighiting about 20 feet from where he was standing. I don't know how he got lost. Slow slow killing to the second boss, all the while ignoring the morbol till last cause why not let it throw out bad breath several times. And guess who didn't bother dodging?
Finally at the second boss, we start the battle. The boss goes invisible, and I start killing the luminesence with the tank. Sam 1 is kinda wandering around the room with his weapon sheathed, and Sam 2 is looking confused and eventually attacks the luminescence with us. I go and hit the boss with the light, and nobody else moved towards it. At this point, the first two adds wake up. The tank and dps conveniently ignore them, and they're beating on me for a while until Sam 2 finally switches target. I lucid dreaming to dump aggro on on of them on the dps, and eventually that one dies as the boss splits and goes invisible again. Incoming 3 more adds, and Sam 1 is walking in circles again. The tank picks up the adds this time, and the dps are busy attacking the luminescence. I heal through the aoe damage and bleeds, grab light, and reveal one of the bogeyman. The dps glue to it, while I whittle down the adds. Once it dies, they kill the other adds and then we kill the luminescence again, and I reveal the last one and we finish up. No wipe, amazing!
Now, it's time for the dps check room. I buff everyone as I can, dps as much as I can...and boom, crash down starts with the gargoyle still alive. Seriously, I've never seen past 30 seconds left, and they managed to not even get to the last set of mobs. Fortunately they don't reset, and we got through the second time.
On to Ferdiad...at first, he's pretty tame, he doesn't do much. At the first Wild Card, I kill one imp, the drk kills one imp...and then I finish the last imp from about 50%. The tank gets trapped in the slime every time, and my poor little Malefic needs just over 2 casts to break it with no criticals, but the tank survives. The scythes come out, and lo and behold, Sam 1 stands in the bad and dies. Another raise, yay. You'd thing a glowing, spinning scythe would be a good indicator of "don't stand here" but I guess not. Here comes the second wild card...and Sam 2 and I are trapped in oozes. I kill mine, and...Sam 2 is still standing there in his ooze with it untouched. I free him, and the group kills the tether with one step safe from wild card. Last phase at least...and here I am trapped in the big ooze that you can't free yourself from. I don't get freed, and it's bye bye healer, bye bye party, on to take 2. The first two phases go about the same, with Sam 1 dying to the spinning scythe every time it came out. Seriously, DON'T STAND IN THE BAD. For the second wildcard, it's me and the tank trapped, but at this point the samurais don't get cards, they're for me now. I free the tank first, who goes and attacks the tether mob, and then myself. Again, one step only is safe. The tank gets trapped in the ooze, and he gets freed at the last second, but not in time to get out of the way, but survives because tank hp/defense, but Sam 1 managed to wander into the bad and die again. Eventually we get it down to 5%, and Sam 1 gets trapped in the next ooze. I ignore it and dps on the boss, and it dies shortly after it kills Sam 1 again. Finally, get out and get my zero comms.
Khiinroye, I'm crying with laughter. Good work hanging in there! Those three wouldn't have made it past the first boss if their healer was anywhere near their level, that's for sure.
Well I think I've had my worst dungeon exp in recent memory.
I'm leveling SAM, going into Doma Castle for it currently. I get a WAR, WHM, and a SMN. So the SMN starts running before protect, I do as well due to distracting myself but quickly stop myself. The WHM takes a minute to cast protect probably expecting the SMN to come back...he doesn't, instead he pulls the first mob packand dies. The WAR takes them, gets protect and we kill them. So thats the worst right?
We get tothe magitek giant, the WAR pulls it and then decides to go up to the next mob pack. So switch from single to AoE, trying to dodge everything without getting infront of the giant that has a nasty cleave. SMN dies to the AoE from the gunship, the WHM tries to revive and use bene on the tank but naturally it goes off a sec too late. Wipe again.
THIS time the WAR just tanks the Giant...but the WHM pulls the next set. I'm pretty sure this was an accident but not sure, atleast this time we aren't dealing with the gunship...are dealing with the SMN deciding to use Titan Egi though. The WAR asks him to switch to something else, now Ifrits out...SMN still pulls the boss before the tank. -internal sigh placed here-
Next pull is also wierd, not cause of them but because we got the glitch with one of the dogs getting stuck before they can jump down. The mages seemed to decide to focus on it first but eh, still make it. The last pack of mobs before the boss the SMN pulls again but tank gets em quickly.
We make it to the second boss, tank gets the pull this time and things go okay until the WHM dies. I'm not sure what happened exactly, I know I had some lag and got hit by the point blank AoE but thats survivable (have always had lag happen more often in this dungeon, most often at this boss so I know this very well.) But hey, SMN can get the revive off right? No, instead he gets himself cut off from myself and the tank, gets marked for the stack AoE and dies jumping around instead of even trying to revive the healer. Then wipe.
The tank and healer leave, and so do I. On the bright side FC was doing some Sigma runs for a member who hadn't done it yet so something to do.
So, I just got out of Dun Scaith, which I got for Alliance roulette.
It was a really smooth run it felt like. I think our biggest issue was too many people trying to do the mechanics (like changing the fire/water in the first boss.)
One of the other alliance tanks MTed it all. A alliance seemed to have a lot of trouble keeping up, and some of our people died to silly things, but over all it felt fine.
Now after all was said and done, one of our healers said "You're wearing the 1500 comm coat" "How did you make it?" "if you die 321654 time"
Then poofed like the coward they were.
I know healing 24 mans can be stressful I do it very often. But they were not perfect either, so It just... Really rubbed me the wrong way. Totally uncalled for and rude. Plenty of others died too, it's a 24 man, a lot is going on and sometimes you miss things.
Obviously 1500 people thought they we good enough to deserve it before, no need to humiliate someone like that.
It reminds me of the first time I ran Syrus tower. It was the day it came out, 2.3.
I can't remember what fight it was, but I died twice, once in a fight before and once that fight, I wanna say it was the third boss.
One of the healers called me out and said to stop dying. Another DPS had died 5 or six times in that fight and they said nothing to them. I almost stopped running as DRG because I didn't feel safe as melee any more, and for a while I only ran things as BRD.
For the first time ever I initiate a vote kick leveling content, and I felt bad but could not see any other way. Was leveling my BRD and happened to get Navel, healer said they never been so we explained the fight and we tried out hand. We wiped once due to healer getting knock backed, so we explain the fight again six wipes later healer is unable to avoid the knock back. The whole group was at a loss we did not want to initiate the kick to remove the healer but none of us could figure out a way to do the fight without a healer that kept eating the knock back.
I doubt they were trolling, it seemed as if they were trying but even thinking about it now I am not sure what else we could have done. I mean if we had an Arcanist / Summoner I could see us doing it without a healer, but for the life of me I still cannot figure out a way we could have done the fight with a healer that could not avoid the knock back. Any pointers if this were to ever happen again would be nice, since I truly did not want to remove the player being as they were the only one that "needed" the fight rest of us queued in via the roulette.
