Concerning loot from coffers in beastmen strongholds

So my linkshell and another are taking turns killing the NM at the Amaal'ja beastmen stronghold tonight. One of my party members gets the key, opens the box and gets the Sentinel's Trousers. He's playing a CNJ, I'm playing Glad. They're Untradeable and they go directly to his inventory.

Is there something that can be done about this? The easiest solution would be to take the untradeable flag off. Every other item slot you can get from the chest is tradeable; what's so special about the pants? It was pretty frustrating to not be able to get this item when it would have went to me by default being the only Gladiator.

To top it off, we put in a GM ticket and they said nothing could be done about it, even though the person that got the item clearly wanted to have it transferred to me.

Seconded, we didn't know what exactly all dropped from the chests, so we had no way to know that we should have passed the key to Orophin. There may well be other Untradeable items in there as well. The items from coffers should go into the player's loot pool, not directly to inventory, especially in situations such as this NM where the key drops rarely and it takes cooperation of the entire group to get the key.

I second this. Please fix it so stuff goes into a Loot List rather than directly into your Inventory. It's not such a big deal with tradeable items, but with untradeables like the pants, it's frustrating to see the item go to someone who doesn't want it and can't use it.

Is this seriously how these / the Ifrit drops work? That... kills a lot of my enthusiasm for getting to a point where I can do that content, frankly.
