Mmm, you're probably right, but still, how many people do you think actually get banned for it? I'm assuming most cases would just have GMs tell people to smarten up.

Oh, I know all that, and I have never said that one should do any ERP in this game. Not that I really understand why killing people would be any more appropriate for the 13 year old kids than the acts that create new kids, but that is a matter for some completely different discussion.the point is that you take part in behavior that is forbidden by TOS agreement. The requirement by SE is act in respect for your other players. you won't do behavior of intimacy in front of really 13 year old children would you. then why would you do it on game that allow 13 year old kids to play. this in fact is doing the behavior in front of a 13 years kids, because you don't know who else is play on FFXIV beside your self.
My point was that you made a false and incorrect statement - that ERP is not RP, which I did not want to leave unchallenged.
Few people will get banned for it - and only those that are too blatant about it.
That is because the smart people understand that ERP - just like erotic activities in real life - are best done in private between consenting adults.
Let's be honest, anyone engaging in erotic role-playing out in public deserves what's coming to them. No, it doesn't. The Terms of Service allow SE to ban you for explicit chat, and they will, but you'll only get banned for it after it's occurred, which means some children may already have seen it. That disclaimer just prevents SE being sued by parents because an infraction of the rules occurred before the offender was banned for it.
Banning is an after-the-fact reaction. SE doesn't have the ability to actually prevent the offence from occurring, so they don't want to be legally liable for it.
Most erotic role-playing usually occurs between two consenting parties.
ffxi never had this issue even 2.0 when it first came out didn't have issue with this but i seen players blogged about it. my question what changes
And to add to your link:ERP this behavior isn't rp in any form it just M rated content it break TOS with Square Enix. TEEN
Content is generally suitable for ages 13 and up. May contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling and/or infrequent use of strong language.

"Online Interactions Not Rated by the ESRB"
Guess what RP falls under....hint hint, it's right above this sentence.

does this answer you argument
do know m rating is for 17 above. so let say t is for 13-16. Square Enix had hard time get FFXIV realm Reborn to allow them to get the T rating. maybe you consider when are doing the behavior you think that online interaction not rated by the esrb you consider that or if you to focus on your self then you realize how much trouble Square Enix when to keep the game T rated
because my origanal thread i made about rp was made into one. I found that harmful and i want make clean that behavior that some players are engaging isn't what they want to do front a child and fact that they don't know anyone else that is around them that is behind computer screen so they be disrepect to Square Enix and The TOS and to they fellow players
