Your spells *can* crit for high dmg you quoted. However, for consistently getting crits in that range, you need setup. Also, to hope at getting those crits more often, you need party setup. Premades will obviously make a terrific difference, however, for all the GC/servers that do not have that privilege, you have to look at what you can do 1 on 1 (teams that don't attack, so you attack a node with 1 defender; it's 1 on 1. BLM seems to always lose unless I get the first cast without interrupt and got swiftcast up and opponent is from select classes I can solo).
We managed to get around a 47% win rate for majority of our members this week (60+ games), awaiting chaos standings update. Not bad considering we mainly 72man matchs and 1 party in there

While there is no doubt smn burst is silly dmg, its limiting factor of aetherflow stacks leaves it more vunerable/useless in prolonged fights. It can easily catch people out off guard

Take for instance this match, this was the first attack. All cd's were up for both sides, but my surprise attack caught both the healer and tank off guard.

Only smn can do these types of things but all it took was a single heal and this death would have been prevented, there is a lack of decent healers in frontlines which leaves smn free to rekt.

Smn's burst is predictable tho, a healer on their a game can spot a burst inc and negate, blm I feel sneaks under the radar. If you manage to have a firestarter proc ready for when you land a fire IV and you can drop someone in a second.

I have around 5 1 v 1 situations on blm atm, ninja x 2 smn drg and a war. The drg I found beat me hands down, the other 4 were pretty easy but there again these could of just been below par players or shear lack of cd's available.
