SMNs are great but unlike other classes that can rotate dmg fairly consistently, the SMN niche is an all or or nothing burst that rely on stacks to genuinely do that high dmg people fear. OIP, Wither and others will defeat this, purify as soon as you get tri disastered as if fester has no effect the smn doesnt get the a stack of attunement and you have delayed deathflare and potential saved yourself.

IMO BLMs when played right are bloody dirty fighters and if you leave them unchecked they will wreck more than a SMN on the same skill will.
