Hello all!
Recently I decided to learn how to tank, but the experience today wasn't good.
While in the learning stage a Healer made things rather unpleasant by forcing big pulls (that I could not deal with) and mocking.

GM Eresgha read my report and quickly came to get any information needed!
It was a pleasant conversation and I felt relieved to find my problem dealt with so much care!

(I would also like to thank Earendos and Victon, the 2 dps who offered such a nice company in dungeon while I was dealing with the bad side)

Tanks should have confidence and pull how much the healer can handle.

They're the leaders, you need to play your role and stay back as a mage. We have roles for a reason.

If a leader stands back then he isn't a leader anymore.

If a leader stands back like a coward then he isn't a leader anymore. Thus that means anyone can stand up and take his role.

Or you can leave and choose the role of a tank and re-qeu

I always wondered why such a shortage of tanks, keep up the good work.

As a healer in low level zones I can tank AND dps. I usually do all three if the tank can't do it.

This mentality is exactly why I only tank for FC members or people I know. I can tank with zero issue and do just fine but that mentality people have of "Play my way or move over"

I fully expect when I play the tank to charge forward and attack and pull hate even if it kills me.

I'm sure your group does too when it wipes and has to start over.

I wouldn't say tanks are the leaders of a party, but mechanically aggro is increased on the first person that a mob sees, so a tank "leading" the pull helps them to establish aggro. A healer being seen first can be a disaster. It really messes with threat levels on trash.

I've pulled extra mobs in dungeons like Haukke Manor when the tank is avoiding mobs outright and I'm on a DPS queuing for 30 minutes for dungeon grind EXP, but I wouldn't do that to someone who is struggling or undergeared.

Seriously. Especially this one is really rude.

Its also rude to go into a zone and pull one mob letting it take 10% of your life and making everyone else wait for you.

I think your misunderstanding. In low level zones everyone takes pretty much the same damage. I can literally tank a boss. I have done Brayflox with 3 black mages and a healer before. Mind you, that was VERY hard. Fun though.

Exactly. As in a new level 60, I can understand. Anything under that however they should be out gearing.
