Quick question - exact gathering/perception caps on legendary nodes?

I'm assuming that, for the time being at least (3.0), all the legendary nodes require the same values. Also assuming that, at least for the time being, it might not actually be possible to get the max 95% gather rate & 15% HQ rate, so what I am looking for is this:

- What gathering value is needed to 1-hit uncover the items on a legendary node?
- What perception value is needed to cap appraisals on a legendary node (again, if it's even reachable)?

Plotting out my materia melds.

For the Folklore nodes you'll need around 650 Gathering to reveal the item in one hit. I`ve heard it may be a little lower, like 648 or 647.

Idk the value needed to cap appraisals, BUT at 679 Perception (might be a little lower), a Discerning+Impulsive will give 151 collectability, and a Discerning+Methodical is 168.
So if you do the Discerning/Impulsive/Discerning/Impulsive/Discerning/Methodical rotationm you'll end up with exactly 470 collectability and 2 Collect chances (if no procs, up to 4 if impulsive procs twice or maybe even 5 if you get crazy GP bonus early on and lots of procs) which is enough for red scrips.

*** Note you would need slightly higher perception in order to do DE+Impulsive,DE+Impulsive,DE+MA.

As for 95% gathering and 15% HQ rate on 1 star items I'm not sure. I personally have over 700 gathering/perception and I think I'm still only at 89% gathering rate.

Do you happen to know when you reached 85% gather rate on the legendary nodes? That will be something for me to keep in mind when going for yield using the +15% success ability (to guarantee success with 600 GP)

One 1 star 660 gathering reaches 80%. I'll check my exact gathering rate at 700 later.

actually with that rotation, you will get 441 appraisal at 645 perception. You want to be at 660 perception to attempt that for 477 appraisal (courtesy of Looney Bob )

if it helps, my miner has 84% chance with 716 gathering, and my botanist has 86% chance with 736 gathering, so I think the 85% mark is somewhere around 725 (I say 725 and not 726 because the gathering requirement to 1-shot clear is 645).

I'll add to this that I have 84% success rate and 8%HQ with 720 gathering/682 perception.
So indeed increasing stats has steeply diminishing returns in this case...

Oh shoot you're right. I checked the chart last night and saw that 645 would give you 450 overall... My tired butt forgot that you want 470 for red scripts >.<...~ Stupid Kat!

So Techno is right you would want a min of ~660 gathering, 660 perception and 600 GP for collecting 1 star folklore nodes.
