Do you have Social Anxiety? Consider yourself to be a nerd, geek, or a social outcast? Perhaps you just have a slight fear of grouping in game. Terrified of making a mistake and getting yelled at or being the cause of a wipe. Well that's where The Silence comes in. We are a FC designed specifically for players with these issues. I have social anxiety pretty bad myself. To the point where I avoid random groups, and even wait until after midnight to go to the grocery store. So I know how that kind of anxiety feels and when it comes to grouping in an mmo it can be torture. I have been playing mmos since before wow released and have avoided raids and only done dungeons once in a while for most of my life.

So the plan for this guild is to be a safe place where we can group together and (hopefully) not worry about those things anymore so we can finally just enjoy the game. And let me tell you, so many of the dungeons in FF14 are worth it, some of the most fun in this game I have had has been inside those things, from the bosses to story. The are just neat.

So that's what the guild is about but what about events and other fun things? We will have them. A guild has to be more then just a guild chat and a collection of distant members. They need things to keep them playing together. Goals beyond just getting to the max level.

So here are a couple of what we will have to start with:

Monthly Meet and Greet - No I don't mean in person. That would be cool... maybe but no. I mean in game. At the end of each month we will find a spot and gather, nothing too fancy. Just an excuse to see each others characters and have a good time taking screenshots.

Monthly Lottery - This is where the goals comes in. FF14 has plenty of things that require large sums of money and I know everyone would like to at least like to see them. Housing, airships, hell even simple things like crafted gear. Personally I really want the Arachne chest item for the rogue. It looks awesome. But comes with a pretty hefty price tag.

So the lottery will work as follows : Over the course of the month we will take donations, either in Gil or crafting crystals/shards/clusters. If you have some other crafting mats that have a decent value we can accept that too. Then once the end of the month rolls around, we will sell virtual lotto tickets. The price of the tickets will be determined by how much was donated that month. Then 10% of the donations for the month will be split into three to five winning slots. (Including the proceeds from the tickets.) Then at our meet and greet they will be raffled off, and the winners claim their money.

Now I know 10% seems like a small amount but it can really add up if people are actively donating. And typically I always try to donate as much as possible myself. Making money is something I really enjoy, so there should always be a decent chunk to raffle.

The other 90% will be added to the house fund, or what ever else, we are saving up for at the time.
