Yea there needs to be more experience bonus for under lvl 60 dungeons. And a better bonus for the trials. I would be more inclined to run it if there was a better bonus.
OP, would you prefer to have no indicator for tanks who feel like queuing for a bonus? Do you want to increase the DPS surplus during peak hours?I was sure the "in need" part of Adventure in need is obvious...
However, I too would like to see better rewards given to encourage tanks to put up with pugs
I don't think there's a problem with the adventurer in need bonus. Tanking is really off putting to people because a. A lot if expected of you, mistakes are very noticeable and b. Most people aren't comfortable being the de-facto leader of the group.
I would like to see a bonus rewarded if you have to wait in a duty queue for a long time though.
If only the Adventurer in Need bonus actually gave more exp for repeating more than once per day.
That would alleviate queues alot, especially when people are levelling tanks. Been seeing way too many tanks just spamming FATEs because running dungeons aren't as fast/rewarding.
As much as I would like to see more exp awarded, I think they need to increase rewards in other areas like Gil, tomes, or achievements with titles and goodies like we have for commendations. Problem with giving too much bonus exp is it will make people level faster and need fewer runs, so it is hurting queues in the long run to help in the short run.
Doesn't hurt queues in the long run. Since most people would rather FATEs to level now anyway. If anything, it'd improve queues by a significant amount because FATEs are mind numbingly boring. As much as I would like to see more exp awarded, I think they need to increase rewards in other areas like Gil, tomes, or achievements with titles and goodies like we have for commendations. Tanks/Healers joining dungeon queues to level > Tanks/Healers spamming FATEs to level. At least those who prefer to run dungeons would at least not get abysmal queue times anymore. One way or another, they're going to get past the levelling process, why not make it more worthwhile for them to run dungeons instead of sitting around FATE spamming all day long?
Of course, for Expert Roulettes, the incentive for Adventurer in Need is pretty "meh" to make the needed classes run them more than once a day. Even a small bonus like 10 extra esoterics for being an Adventurer in Need would make sure queues are shortened even for DPS classes.
Small rewards like that would improve things for a short while, but it's really just a drop in the bucket to incentivizing players. 10 is practically nothing to someone who does not normally do said activity as a norm. Even 20 could be low IMO. For getting AiN queues beyond the daily roulette, that is. Incentives have to be attractive enough to do something that generally DON'T want to do. Think about what it would take to get you to do something you don't want to do, and how extreme some incentives would have to be lol. People make a ridiculously huge stink about a few minutes wasted when it comes to video games. Relate that to what it would take to get them to do something that takes way more than a few minutes lol.Doesn't hurt queues in the long run. Since most people would rather FATEs to level now anyway. Ignoring the role responsibilities that certainly make them unattractive to the majority base, what you need to honestly do is make it worth your while for all players to level a certain role/job. If, for an extreme example, it cut the tome grind in half to be the consistent tank for AiN, I can guarantee we'll see more people taking up the role in the long run.
What happens then? Tanks become in high supply, AiN moves to heals, and so on and so forth. The immediate concern becomes the short term, where tanks will finish up their tome grind quickly and not need to queue, until the other players conclude it's better to be X role. There honestly is no solid way to get people to play a tank/healer, so that they're in a surplus supply. The role itself is unattractive to most people, be it because of the way it plays or the responsibility. I dare say that the latter is the main culprit.

In this thread... People explaining how roulette works without giving a ssource.
Tanks are under more pressure to perform in roulettes than any other role. The roulette bonuses are just fine the way they are. When they make DPS checks in normal dungeons hard enough to where DPS have to actually play their job properly instead of being able to faceroll while the healer and tank carry them through the boss, THEN we can maybe talk about bonuses for DPS.
DPS players should get some kind of mount reward for successfully completing Savage content though. The skill required as a DPS player in those dungeons is well above what is required of healers and tanks.
And healers should get mount rewards too, especially for PVP.
