Best way to get FFXIV:ARR & Heavensward with soundtrack?

Hey, I am new to FFXIV, and I am tempted to get the game after the end of my current semester of school, but I wanted to make sure I know if and how can I get both the base game and Heavensward.

I know I cannot access any content in Heavensward until I beat all of the main story quests in the game, but I wanted to see if it was possible to get both the base game, and Heavensward, together as a bundle, and if it would save any money. I've tried getting details on the website, but it's not very clear to me if any of it is possible.

I also wanted to see if it was possible for me to get the soundtrack for the game like with the collector's edition, but with just the soundtrack. I don't care much about the other collector's bonuses, but I love the soundtrack...it just seems very expensive by itself.

So, is it viable or even possible to get the base game and Heavensward together if I'm already am planning to play Heavensward? If so, is it possible to get the soundtrack without the Collector's Edition?

The game and expansion are indeed available bundled together for $60, a lower price than purchasing the two separately ($40 + $40).

The soundtracks are completely separate purchases, not bundled with any game edition.

    Welcome to Eorzea =).

As EveK said, there is no soundtrack included with the Collector's Edition of Heavensward, only the CE of A Realm Reborn had a soundtrack CD bundled with it that had a small selection of tracks.

As it stands a full soundtrack album for Heavensward isn't even yet available, only two small 'mini albums' (FFXIV HW EP Vol 1 and FFXIV HW EP vol 2) have been released for online download on the iTunes store - the other bluray and CD albums currently available are for version 1.0 and A Realm Reborn (FFXIV Field Tracks, FFXIV Battle Tracks, Eorzean Frontiers and Before Meteor for version 1.0, and ARR OST and Before the Fall albums for ARR, and are not for Heavensward.

Either way, you can definitely get the base game (ARR) and Heavensward bundled together - I'm guessing you're currently on the free trial version at the moment right? In which case the bundle would definitely be best for you as you do indeed save money doing it that way.

Welcome to Eorzea in any event!

The soundtracks are very expensive but once you get hooked they're worth every penny (in my opinion), and because they come on Blu-ray discs you also get additional content sometimes which isn't advertised much. For example, some of them contain fantastic event/concert footage. Getting the bundle now and saving up for the soundtracks later - by which time there may even be a soundtrack bundle available - is probably a good idea.

There is a bundled option, but it may not necessarily save you money, mainly because most retailers have dropped their prices on A Realm Reborn, which you can probably get for around $20 or maybe less if you shop around a bit for the best prices. Some have even lowered their prices on Heavensward a bit. It seems to be running between $30 and $40 depending on platform. The bundle still seems pretty consistently around $60, though.
