SE Please STOP requiring non-relevant content to unlock current stuff.

I know you guys already said that come 4.0 you will stop doing this but can you PLEASE at least allow us to unlock alex if we have the current ilevel for it?

I busted myself to get to i170 and come to find out, I have to complete a whole trial thing in non-relevant content just to unlock current expansion content. This is a bad thing to do and I hope this gets fixed.

Average wait time MORE then 30 minutes.

WHY would you require a level 50 trial to be completed to unlock level 60 current content? SE Are you trying to alienate your sub base by requiring us to wait 30+ minutes to run something that is meaningless?

I still hope thet SE stands by their word and 4.0 onward they do not require old content to be completed in order to access new content, thank you.)))))

Sorry to say I don't think it will be updated, being new players have to clear 2.xx story line just to get access to HW content. What trial are you missing? It would only take a few minutes to snag some fc/ls members and go in there un-synced and destroy it.

Honestly if you can't beat Ultima's Bane then you probably have no chance in Savage anyway..

The fact is that this is not convenient and is one of the big reasons why people have left this game from my friends list. All of this requiring older and outdated non-relevant content to get into the expac is bad business and I am glad SE has seen that and will not be doing it come 4.0 . I just wish they would update at least alex and maybe the new jobs.

I have NO intention to go into savage, this is to unlock alex NORMAL. I did my 25 man heroic and 10 man heroic groups in WOW and have no intention on doing that mess all over again. Ill stick with the regular raid modes from now on.

You don't have to do Ultima's Bane to do Alexander Normal. And the way I know this is that I didn't have it done when I did Alexander Normal.

It's unlocked through a quest in Idyllshire.

I agree with you that I don't like irrelevant things gating off relevant ones, but this isn't one of those times.

Yes I have and I was told in order to access Alex NM you need to do ultimas bane.

At some point they are going to have to unlock HW. Even if they make 4.00 non linear, all the class quests are locked out due to HW. Even if they allow you to skip 10 levels of progressive class the actions are reward for the quests so as an example, my Whm won't get Stone III unless I unlock HW.

It's just a matter of when will they give up the idea they can use this as a suitable throttle mechanic.

I don't remember Ultima being a requirement for normal. It is for savage Coil and savage Alex, but I'm pretty sure you just need to have finished all story quests and be ilvl170 to do Alex normal.

The unlock quest is called Disarmed and it starts in Idyllshire.
