Yeah, I think the only AoE knockbacks are PvP skills.Nah, it wouldn't work for bosses. To be more specific I'm thinking of something like Neverreap's trash that's right next to the cliffs. One knockback, send them off, instant kill, keep going. Besides, another difference from this game compared to swtor is that there are no aoe knockbacks usable by players (that I know of). In swtor for example, I could gather a group of 5-6 trash mobs and one dps could knock all of them off a cliff at once and instantly clear the pack. In this game, you could maybe get rid of one or two enemies.
er no thanks, I'm all for options but this would cheapen the game People would just full pull dungeons and knock stuff off cliffs for mass chain bonus. DCUO did this too its a gimmik it gets dull after a bit, oh and elder scrolls does this too which was a tad annoying. ( unless it was that obnoxious fanboy from oblivion)
Dark Souls is on PC and consoles OP.
I had Garuda knock me off a cliff while I had Attunment up today (90% dodge rate my butt). Managed to live with 4 HP, clicked off the buff, healed myself as Garuda fell down after me and hit me with an auto attack, and then she de-summoned herself. Hoped on my magical pony and rode away to safety. It was beautiful.
Back in beta, conal or line AoEs didn't have telegraphs at all (everything in general was tuned to a significantly higher difficulty, that Gargoyle the Masked Mage summons had an insanely potent poison used at random and antidotes had a 3min CD). This combined with the high amount of birds on the tree just made it needlessly frustrating when you can easily miss that one bird readying the knockback. Suddenly a beginner area becomes the most dangerous place in Eorzea.

You actually CAN knock monsters off cliffs if you have a knockback skill....sadly, it just resets them, though D=
Punting people off cliffs with Fluid Aura in PVP is one of my favorite things about this game, though. You wanna pick on the 'helpless' White Mage, huh? Think I'm an easy target? Bye!!!
I kinda really like this idea.
