    Some ideas I have to make the game more active.

    I'm shitty at formatting so I'll just make a list. The list isn't in a specific order of importance.

    1. Two toned dyeing. Basically changing the 2 main colors of an item, i.e. changing the black part on Company Tabard.

    2. Free Company PvP Tournament. The FC signs up in the beginning of the week and then the tournament would happen over the next few days. Winners get rewards and stuff.

    3. Level 60 monsters that drop more valuable materials and are harder to kill. SE my be doing something like this with the airship exploration.

    4. Consequences for a FATE failing. If a fate fails the landscape is changed i.e. FATE monsters running around even after the FATE is over temporarily. A new FATE will spawn that will change the landscape back to normal.

    5. A Free Market. Every thing is sellable except for token based,relic, and AF gear. These include all green,pink, and blue dungeon items.

    6. New Roulette for Expert primals and Crystal Tower.

    7. PvP zone. Like a free battle zone

    8.Gear sets that effect skills. I.e. a set that turns Blizzard 4 into an aoe. Or a set that increases Bios duration.

    9. Stronger crafted gear, less emphasis on glamour more on effectiveness.

    10. Turning off battle music.

    11. I don't know if this one would be popular, maybe an idea for 4.0. Splitting jobs in half to specialize in a specific field. Like splitting Black Mage into AoE or single target. This would start at the split, not change how the job worked before. Could give them a cool name to, like Galaxy Mage or something.

    12. Alternating animations for spells. Mix it up a bit rather than the same robotic character animations.

    13. Magic scrolls that contain one spell. Can be a new crafter.

    14. New super skills. Can be for 4.0. Basically has along cast time or(both) recast time Each job would have one.

    15. Randomized Treasure Chests. One spawns in every area say every 4 hours in a random spot.

    16. More character customization options. A shorter less pissed off male Au Ra, a big Miqote, a skinny Roe, a bigger female Au ra.

    17. End ps3.

    1. While I've been asking for this for a very long time, for now it won't happen unless they drastically upgrade their servers. Adding more color schemes to a item means adding more, double or even triple the current amount of textures. It won't happen anytime soon that's for sure.

    5. Again, I would like to see this. There are unique items I want, but unable to get. But that also means people are less inclined to run dungeons to farm for their glamour. Because anything below lvl 60 is all glamour.

    8. This... is ok... but it won't really have any beneficial effect unless ur not raiding. No one who raids wears a single perfect set. It always a combination of raid and tome gear.
    9. How do you make stronger crafting gear that doesn't make raid or tome gear pointless? In my opinion it's fine as it is.

    12. This is good... but again, would mean a lot more resources and data. Refer to #1.

    14. You mean limit breaks? ....jk Unless these 'super skills' do crazy damage, it will be a DPS loss if there was a long cast time.
    15. I can just about see a very salty community now... We have treasure maps for this.

    You know if Yoshi-p decides to expand the dev team, he should really consider making a team dedicated to PvP. If PvP becomes something as enjoyable as it was in WoW, they can attract hundreds of thousands of players from the PvP crowd of mmorpg gaming.

    Wouldn't taking away PS3 support make the game less active? Most of these ideas have nothing to do with making the game more active.

    I mean active as things to do in game. And ps3 is putting limitations on that.

    There are 4 way that would make people stop taking breaks and remain more active.

    1) Horizontal Development (So there is no end content... people are getting to Savage(which trumps everything else) and then get bored of doing that and Expert rulette.)
    2) Make crafting and the economy relevant. Glamour gear and minions =/= relevant.
    3) Have content that is not instant gratification or designed for casuals. (Rare nm spawns which drop gear equivalent for now say to I200... do not want to do them do the dungeons for tokens. Or any variety of content. We need more then just dungeons and Raids for endgame) You know add content for all player types not just 1 and expect everyone to enjoy it.
    4) Stop negating content every 6 months or release 3xs the content.

    Honestly I do not see any of these happening.

    1) Yoshida wants it to be pure verticle for what ever reason. He made that clear. So there will always be an end which is horrible in a mmo setting.
    2) OMG THE RMT... to counter this we will punish the player... Oh btw I still get 10tells every 30mins. SO yea crafting is vanity only and rmt is just as bad as it would be otherwise.
    3) But the game is a casual mmo. CASUAL ONLY!!!!! no guild content, no long term content. ONLY SOLO/PUG/LOWMAN STATIC CONTENT!!!!! oh and instant rewards only no working for anything.
    4) New content keeps the game fresh... SO enjoy the 1 month of content we add every 3 months. And they do not have the staff to release the equivalent of 3 major patches every 6 months, honestly I do not think any studio would.

    Aka welcome to ffxiv. There is nothing that can be fixed unless SE changes stuff.

    Vanity gear, Achievements, Mounts will only satisfy an extremely small portion of the playerbase.

    Alot of the OPS ideas I would support. But I will throw another thing. OMG THE BALANCE.... everything must be perfectly balanced in pve(the one thing where balance really does not matter... unless your only fight check is a DPS checks... oh wait a minute, nm). Thus making it impossible to have worthwhile armor design everything must be an excell spreadsheet drag down of stats.

    But in reality this game is not designed to work like that. It is designed for short burst of playtime. The weekend warrior. This is a not game designed for people to play as a full time mmo.

    NO one is asking for an XI clone. But atm the game is way way too linear and everything is designed for solo. If the opposite of that is XI... then yes make it an XI clone.

    This thread can just be summed up as yet another "this isn't like FFXI so make it like FFXI!" thread. Because 90% of the ideas mentioned were already used in FFXI to varying degrees of success, which explains exactly why they haven't been utilized or implemented in FFXIV, and the rest are just very minor QoL ideas that would have a very low priority in the grand scheme of things. Meaning that most of your ideas will never be implemented or at the very least, would be highly unlikely.

    I never played 11. They're just some ideas to get out of the repetition thats from 2.0.
