Oh boy, this is a blight on the face of MMOs everywhere! Just ask any FFXI player what the top 1000 problems were with the game and it's sure to make the list.. somewhere.. Sorry for the sarcasm but stop blowing this out of proportion.
Being aware of a problem that could be fixed and doing nothing about it is called complacency.
And how do you stop RMTs without punishing legit players?
Doesn't matter if exp gain was 1exp per kill and you had to kill 2,000,000 enemies one at a time to get to max level. RMT would do it.
To paraphrase Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm, "RMT finds a way."
It's not a problem if the producer knows full and well about it and it is working as intended. Whether or not it is the best decision on his part is a matter of opinion, but you can't fix something that isn't technically broken.
^^ I support this thread.
PLing is not the only way to level, certainly it is the fastest but that is a choice.
I like the fact that it is a choice. I can play at my own pace and so can others. If people want to level quickly then they can but if they want to take their time, they can as well.
I think this method of PL should remain in the game.
Thanks for making this thread! ^_^

if powerleveling brings my friends back to this game, then i support it.
Friends > haters
my powerleveling brings all the girls to the yard
Met a new player today, who had just finished their Leves and didn't know what else to do content wise. I explained a few things about his options but then just decided "oh well I'll just PL him a little and explain stuff" so 10 levels later after a run through Shposhae, he was more knowledgeable about the game, made a new friend, and actually felt more inclined to play. I learned right after he had just planned to log when he had run out of leves.
