Would probably be helpful to add what gear you were wearing. Often bugs like this only affect some items and sometimes only when in combination with other specific items.

I've actually seen this one* happen in... well, as far as I know, any instance. Alex Savage 2 and Frontlines: Slaughter, for example.

*Well, not necessarily tied to darkside... seen it happen to ninjas and paladins, not sure what causes it.

Perhaps it's something with the 'stances' then? Would have to try out various things to see if I can replicate it on other jobs.
