    Grit/Blood Weapon Shenanigans

When doing a dungeon as a DRK, I often do the following:

    1) When in Grit + Darkside, I pull the mobs.
    2) I generate a sufficient amount of hate on the mobs
    3) I turn off Grit
    4) I turn on Blood Weapon
    5) I proceed to kill mobs with increased DPS

The Grit/Blood Weapon switcheroo is what I want to focus on in this post. It's kind of a pain to have to turn off Grit before turning on Blood Weapon. It would, however, be a lot smoother if turning Blood Weapon on automatically turned Grit off. That way, 3) and 4) would become just one step.

PLDs have to turn off ShO before turning on SwO, WAR has to turn on Deliverance before using Fell Cleave/restoring TP, I'm fine with having to to turn off Grit before using Blood Weapon. So should you.

A tip: If you're able to turn off Grit before a bunch of the stuff you're tanking is dead, you should be doing bigger pulls.

    /endthread.

I'm almost positive this isn't true whatsoever. SwO turns off ShO and vice versa.

it's more like they can just turn on deliverance which will turn off Defiance and vice versa.

It's a little different for the DRK since Blood Weapon is a timed buff, not a full DPS stance. But as DRK doesn't have a DPS stance, it's not an unreasonable request.

None of his posts are based in reality. As for OP, I agree- even if Blood Weapon auto cancelled Grit it'd be a more seamless transition more on par with war/pld.

It's not hard to get up and change the channel on my TV.

That doesn't mean I'm going to throw away my remote.

It can be hard if it's mounted and the buttons are behind it. Then it can go very badly too..next thing you know the 70 inch TV falls, cat is crushed and your girlfriend takes after Jodi Arias and the next shower will be your last.

90% of the suggestions aren't. This isn't a huge request, at the same time it is something that can be resolved by a macro. I take off Grit when I want to use Blood Weapon but for me it's so natural that it is faster for me to do it manually. Others I can see it being a QoL thing if they can't hit the buttons fast enough or their timing is off. It might not be so hard for them to implement just like it's not so hard for the average bear to do it manually or set it up in a way where it's a bit more seamless. If they do it then at least I can remove another macro from my list and voice command.

The SwO-ShO and Grit-No grit transitions are both horrid, but I can almost understand why they do it (compared to warrior who has to be healed up).

Can we make SwO/ShO and Grit abilities with mana costs? Please. Please.

(And yes, you can go from SwO directly to ShO. I have a macro that replaces ShO button with SwO when I'm in ShO and vice-versa).
