Actually, that sounds kinda cool. I can see it maybe being a class where the doll you create becomes a pet slot like ACN or MCH; the pet bar would have either the moves the doll could inflict on itself, or the dots and debuffs you can place on it. The doll's health could go down as you deal the damage, and maybe you could do a final burst attack once it dies. Then you'd move in to resummon/reattune the new doll, and start over.

the idea of having it become a pet is one I'm not opposed to as long as it doesn't step on summoner toes. perhaps a less control able pet (since he's temperary), he can melee, you direct attacks at him his health moves but you don't control him and he doesn't have any real abilities of his own, he's more a tool. also don't like the idea of him being targetable by enemy's unless there is a fun mechanic that would transfer the dmg to the target the doll was made from.
