I seem they are planning to bring less kill questsGo to spot X, pop a mob, kill the mob. The issue is that you do this gameplay for a good 150 hours - yet the difficulty remains the same the entire game. It never changes. That might have been acceptable a dozen years ago when WoW was released but gamers now expect heightened difficulty / innovation.
http://www.novacrystallis.com/2015/0...l-fantasy-xiv/“I already talked to the team about the Moogle side quests, because they are quite tiresome and tedious jobs. For the future, we like to remove this type of quest.
There are two points to improve for side quests: First of all, you need to assign a proper story to that side quest. We also want to add more variation to the side quests.
For example, you may need to find the highest building an an area and jump off from the top if it. Or you need to carry a certain item and secretly sneak into a building without being noticed by anyone.
We think that adding that mini-game type of quests to the game should be fun. I actually talked with the team about this last week, before coming to Gamescom. Before moving to 4.0, we have to add more variety to the quests. We want to change this and the flag systems. These are the things we want to improve.”

They just need to have more challenging content in general, outside of Savage. Back in 1.0, the 4man relic fights were above average in difficulty. It at least required the four people to really know their jobs.
The tiniest lala.
Nope.avi
We asked for stronger mobs and they delivered.
Mobs got a bit more HP and Damage, wow such improvement, much stronger...
Improvement would be more mobs that have skills without orange circles like the 2 adds in The Aery.
I feel sorry OP, but you have just stepped in the pit of despair that is run by casuals of this forum. Prepare to be enlightened why you are completely wrong (I don't know why, that's why I am waiting for some guy to tell us).

I find it completely justified when in an MMO, multiplayer and such, solo content is not that hard.
It's fun to have hard solo content, but make it optional. If I want to play challenged solo content, I'll not choose an MMO. I would like to have Maat back though. xD
Easy way to make job quests harder: gimp yourself in gear. I did the level 30 DRK quest in only a cowl, and struggled with some of the quests when I had gear that was several levels behind. Plus, as mentioned, there are things like maps and undersized dungeons. The game gives you ways to make your own challenges.
I am all for a challenging solo content. As it stands now there are no solo contents at all worth the effort to do. Challenging and rewarding solo content will be most likely far more popular than any other content.
If they made job quests, msq or anything in anyway difficult or challenging or made a small percentage of it difficult the poo storm that would rain down from the extremely loud, casual elite that wants everything now would be real.
In beta the msq were actually somewhat hard. You would wipe multiple times, same with job quests and it was nothing but poo poo on the forums, of course there were ppl who loved it. But man the butthurt was real.
That's why we have no real endgame raids in 3.0. All we got was a rehash of existing content with loot that is marginally better but looks the same, but dyeable. The people who do not like challenge and want everything handed to them are extremely loud and spend more time complaining on forums than tackling content. And since they are so loud, companies listen to them.
The people who want challenge need to get louder. Time to take back gaming. This is Final Fantasy not candy crush for cryin out loud.
I loll'd.
Viva la revolucion amirite??
Been leveling up SMN. Doing Leves that are 10 plus levels higher than my character, adds a little difficulty. I think they should have an area where the mobs still out rank the player. Once you hit 60 you out rank everything and killing over world mobs is just more of a nuisance. Put in an area with ilvl 200 leves, now we got something, something where you actually need to use CD's.
